NATO 🇸🇪 Sweden and 🇫🇮 #Finland have jointly created a new combat brigade in Lapland, - Iltalehti.
The core of the new formation consists of fighters from the 🇸🇪🪖 army's Norrbotten mechanized brigade's ground forces, which has combat experience in harsh winter conditions.
#NATO's new joint 🇫🇮-🇸🇪 combat brigade is called "Finnish #FLFforce".
It consists of five battalions and support units. The approximate number is 4-5 thousand servicemen.

The alliance will deploy a number of new assets to the Baltic, which will include "platforms for reconnaissance, surveillance, and identification, as well as at least one air defense frigate," the publication notes.
