A โฌ158 million contract has been signed with the ICEYE consortium, which provides for the delivery of reconnaissance satellites and necessary equipment to the Finnish Army for effective intelligence gathering from space.
It is noted that ICEYEโs satellites can capture and process high-resolution images under any weather conditions and lighting, and they can also be used for civilian purposes by other government agencies.

The equipment was taken from pre-positioned American army reserves in Germany. Maintenance was carried out by technicians from the 405th Army Field Support Brigade and the European Logistics Support Center. Thirty vehicles were issued from the Coleman Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 (APS-2) warehouse in Mannheim, and the rest after maintenance in Kaiserslautern and Vilseck.
