NEW ⚔️🇪🇺 EU Commission unveils the White Paper for European Defence and the ReArm Europe Plan/Readiness 2030
Among the goals are:
🔹Enhancing European readiness for worst-case scenarios, by improving military mobility, stockpiling and strengthening external borders, notably the land border with Russia and Belarus.
🔹Strengthening partnership with like-minded countries around the world
As announced by EU President von der Leyen, the ReArm Europe Plan/Readiness 2030 enables spending of over €800 billion structured around the following pillars:
🔹Unleash the use of public funding in defence at national level
🔹 Up to a maximum of 1.5% of GDP for each year of activation of the national escape clause; For a period of four years.

The signed law effectively abolishes the so-called "debt brake". Now it must be published in the federal law bulletin.
🔹Under the new rules, defense, intelligence, and cybersecurity spending that exceeds 1% of GDP will not be subject to debt regulation caps. It will also allow an additional €3 billion to be directed to support Ukraine. Over the next 12 years, the law provides for €500 billion in infrastructure investment.
