41 Years Ago, on October 23, 1983 a Pair of Truck Bombs exploded in Beirut outside the Barracks of American and French Servicemembers serving with the Multinational Force in Lebanon (MNF), a Peacekeeping Operation during the Lebanese Civil War. The Bombing was claimed by the Islamic Jihad Organization, a Precursor to Hezbollah, and resulted in the Death of 307, including 241 U.S. and 58 French Servicemembers, 6 Civilians, and the 2 Attackers. But this is the First Year that we can say many of the Masterminds behind this Attack are now Dead; with Two of the Attack’s Major Planners, Fuad Shukr and Ibrahim Aqil being Eliminated by Israeli Airstrikes in July and September.

Israeli Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi toured the Jabalia Area of the Northern Gaza Strip yesterday, where he held a Situational Assessment with the Commanding Officer of the IDF Southern Command and other Senior Military Leaders. During the Assessment, Halevi stated “In the North, there's a possibility of reaching a Swift Conclusion. We thoroughly dismantled Hezbollah's Senior Chain-of-Command. Sinwar’s Elimination wasn’t by Chance, it was Methodical.”
