The U.S. Navy has revealed the Identities of the Two Aviators who were Killed in the Crash of a EA-18G “Growler” Electronic-Warfare Aircraft near Mount Rainier in Washington last Tuesday. They were Identified as 31-Year-Old Naval Aviator Lieutenant Serena Wileman, and 31-Year-Old Naval Flight Officer Lieutenant Commander Lyndsay Evans, both Members of the “Zappers” of Electronic Attack Squadron 130 (VAQ-130) based out of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The Aviators were conducted a Routine Training Mission when the Crash occurred, with it taking several days for Search-and-Rescue Teams to find the Wreckage; with the Crash Site eventually being discovery in a 6,000ft Steep, Heavily-Wooded Area to the East of Mount Rainier. Both LT Serena Wileman and LCDR Lyndsay Evans served aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) during its latest Deployment to the Red Sea, where they conducted Strikes against the Houthi Terrorist Group in Western Yemen, earning several Strike Flight Air Medals.
