In a notable announcement, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has added additional details on the deadly Iranian strike on Jordan and also announced the death of another servicemember in Iraq on July 18, during what they say was a “controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from an Iranian one-way attack drone.” Per the release, during this incident, another servicemember was seriously wounded and is receiving medical attention.

In relation to the attack in Jordan that killed two U.S. servicemembers and left 1 missing, CENTCOM has now announced that unidentified remains have been found and the process of identification is currently underway.

Air raid sirens are once again sounding across Bahrain after Iran launched a new wave of ballistic missiles and one-way attack drones targeting sites in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and Iraq.

According to the New York Times, citing U.S. officials, the soldier killed in Iraq while an Iranian one-way attack drone was being rendered safe was not an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician. Instead, the soldier was struck by blast fragmentation and debris when the drone was detonated.
