Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that he will join the Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and other nuclear experts in Geneva on Monday for a “deep technical discussion” on ideas to achieve a nuclear deal between Iran and the United States. In addition, Araghchi will meet with the Foreign Minister of Oman ahead of Tuesday talks with White House special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Today’s meeting between Araghchi and Grossi has the potential to be significant, possibly even more so then Tuesday’s negotiations with the United States, as they will be some of the first talks between Iran and the IAEA since the Iranian government decided to suspend its cooperation with the agency in June 2025.

Anthropic’s large language model Claude is the only AI model currently available in the military's classified systems, and is the world leader for many business applications, with negotiations over the terms under which the military can use Claude having been ongoing for months, as Anthropic wishes to ensure its tools aren't used to spy on Americans en masse, or to develop weapons that fire with no human involvement, terms which are considered “unacceptable” to the Pentagon under Hegseth.
