Massie: “Who's responsible? Are you able to track who in your organization made this massive failure and released the victims' names? Are you able to track who it was that obscured Les Wexner's name as a co-conspirator in an FBI document? Do you have that kind of accountability?”

Bondi: “I believe Wexner's name was listed more than 4,000 times about…”

Massie: “Yeah, I already told you that. This is where he's listed as a co-conspirator.”

Bondi: “Can I finish my answer? Come on. Let me finish my answer. We corrected that within forty minutes. He was already - you're acting like everybody's trying to cover up Wexner's name. He was listed…”

Massie: “Reclaiming my time.”

Bondi: “I'm going to answer this question.”

Massie: “Reclaiming my time. Mr. Chairman.”

Bondi: “This isn't how this works.”

Massie: “Can I have my time back? Mr. Chairman… All right, I'm reclaiming my time.”

Bondi: “Can I give my answer?”

Massie: “So I'm going to put the language of the bill up on the screen.”

Bondi: “Chairman, may I give my answer on that? It's a political joke, and I need to give my answer on that.”

Chairman: “We'll let the Attorney General respond, and then the gentleman can move to his next question.”

Bondi: “Within forty minutes, you asked me a question. Within forty minutes, Wexner's name was added back in.”

Massie: “Within 40 minutes of me catching you red-handed.”

Bondi: “There was one redaction out of over 4,700.”

Massie: “Where he was listed as a co-conspirator!”

Bondi: “And we invited you in - this guy has Trump Derangement Syndrome. You're a failed politician. You need to get on with things that matter.”

Thomas Massie said: “I provided the evidence today that shows that his statements were false under oath. Kash Patel's statements were false. The U.S. Department of Defense announced this morning that forces under the United States Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) carried out a right-of-visit, maritime interdiction and boarding on the Panamanian-flagged crude oil tanker M/T VERONICA III in the Indian Ocean early this morning without incident, after tracking the vessel - which was operating in defiance of President Trump’s established quarantine of sanctioned vessels linked to Venezuela - from the Caribbean Sea in early January. The vessel has been listed on the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Asset Control Sanctions list since at least December of 2024.

Internal discussions between senior figures in the U.S. military and intelligence community have started to contemplate the possibility of supporting a fresh round of Israeli strikes on Iran, with deliberations focusing less on whether Israel could act than on how the United States might assist, including the provision of aerial-refueling for Israeli aircraft and the delicate matter of securing overflight permission from Arab countries along the potential route between Israel and Iran, two U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter told CBS News.

Iran has stated that an agreement which delivers economic benefits to both sides, including potential energy, mining and aircraft deals, is on the table in ongoing nuclear talks that are expected to continue this week with the United States.

The Deputy Director for Economic Diplomacy under the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hamid Ghanbari, told the Iran state-run Fars News Agency, “For the sake of an agreement's durability, it is essential that the U.S. also benefits in areas with high and quick economic returns… Common interests in the oil and gas fields, joint fields, mining investments, and even aircraft purchases are included in the negotiations.”

Hamid claimed that the primary reason the nuclear deal in 2015 negotiated by the Obama Administration failed, was because it didn’t also secure the economic interests of the United States, interests which he states would be discussed during Tuesday’s meeting in Geneva between Iranian officials and the American delegation led by White House special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
