Two years ago, on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a despicable, surprise attack against the State of Israel, kidnapping, killing, and raping over a thousand, and injuring many more. Since then, Israel has crippled Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, while significantly damaging both the Houthis in Yemen and their supporters in Iran, resulting in the death and injury of nearly a hundred thousand in countries across the Middle East, including thousands of civilians and servicemembers in Israel. While it appears we may be close to a possible end to the fighting in Gaza, with negotiations currently ongoing in Egypt regarding the release of the remaining 48 hostages being held by Hamas and the withdrawal of the Israel Defense Force, the world must never allow Hamas the opportunity to ever carry out such an attack again. Hamas must never again have control over the Gaza Strip.

Speaking earlier today in the Oval Office alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, U.S. President Donald J. Trump stated that the proposed transcontinental ballistic missile defense grid known as “Golden Dome” is being jointly developed by and will eventually cover both Canada and the United States, likely as an extension of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) established by the two countries during the Cold War.

The air traffic control tower at Nashville International Airport in Tennessee will “go dark” because of no available controllers tonight for roughly five hours, due to ongoing staff shortages exacerbated by the government shutdown, likely resulting in temporary ground stops, flight delays, or reroutes, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Nashville is the second airport in the country to be seriously effected by the shutdown, with the tower at Hollywood Burbank Airport in Los Angeles Country, California being unmanned last night for roughly six hours after several air traffic controllers called in sick, requiring the airspace to be controlled by Southern California TRACON.

Federalized Soldiers with the Texas Army National Guard have arrived at the Elwood Army Reserve Center in the far southwestern suburbs of Chicago, after several hundred were ordered there earlier this week by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth against the wishes of Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. In yet another step in the campaign by the Trump Administration to impose control over states and cities that are seen as “unfriendly” to the administration and ongoing efforts by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Both a NATO E-3B “Sentry” Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft and a U.S. Air Force KC-135R “Stratotanker” Aerial-Refueling Tanker are currently heading east over Poland in the direction of the border with Ukraine.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced that Poland will not honor the extradition request by Germany for Volodymyr Z., a Ukrainian national who is currently wanted by European authorities for his suspected involvement in a series of explosions back in 2022 that caused significant damage to both the Nord Stream 1 and 2 Gas Pipelines in the Baltic Sea, which ran between Germany and Russia. Tusk stated that it was “not in the interest of Poland” to hand over Volodymyr, adding that, “The problem of Europe, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland is not that Nord Stream 2 was blown up, but that it was built — Russia, with money from some European states and German and (Anglo-) Dutch companies, built Nord Stream 2 against the vital interests not only of our states, but of all of Europe, and there can be no ambiguity about that,” indirectly calling out German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her decision to authorize Nord Stream 2.

After being refueled by a U.S. Air Force KC-135R “Stratotanker” Aerial-Refueling Tanker earlier over Western Poland, a NATO E-3B “Sentry” Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft is currently doing loops right along the border between Belarus, Poland, and Ukraine. While it isn’t unusual for a NATO E-3 to be on mission over Poland, it is rare to see it fly this close to the border with Ukraine.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that its forces, in coordination with the Syrian Government, conducted a strike last Thursday, October 2nd, against a vehicle in the Idlib Governorate of Northwestern Syria, eliminating Muhammad ‘Abd-al-Wahhab al-Ahmad, a senior member of the Al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist group Ansar al-Islam. Photos of the vehicle following the strike, as well as fragments found nearby, indicate that it was likely carried out by an American MQ-9 Reaper using several Hellfire R-9X “Flying Ginsu” Air-to-Surface Missiles.

As Ukraine approaches its fourth winter in its ongoing war against Russia, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy has a new secret weapon, a $140 million battery program, completed in August, which consists of so far at least six massive battery and storage management systems located at top-secret sites across both the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts of Central Ukraine, according to an exclusive by the Wall Street Journal.

The batteries, part of a project spearheaded by DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private-energy supplier, are developed and produced in the United States, with each park having a combined total capacity of 200 megawatts, enough to supply around two hours of energy for roughly 600,000 homes, equivalent to powering a city about the size of Washington, D.C.

The battery parks are designed to help plug holes in and regulate Ukraine’s energy supply, offering an alternative source of power even when the grid comes under attack, connecting to the power grid and delivering power if another source, such as a thermal-power plant, goes offline, helping to avoid rolling blackouts that Ukrainians have experienced since Russia’s invasion began in 2022.
