NOVENA to the INFANT JESUS

O Child Jesus, I have recourse to Thee. By Thy holy Mother, I implore Thy assistance in this necessity (here mention your request), for I firmly believe that Thy Divinity can assist me. I confidently hope to obtain Thy holy grace. I love Thee with my whole heart and my whole soul. I am heartily sorry for my sins, and I entreat of Thee, O good Jesus, to give me strength to overcome my evil passions. I make the resolution of never again offending Thee, and I resolve to suffer everything rather than displease Thee. Henceforth, I wish to serve Thee faithfully. For the love of Thee, O Divine Child, I will love my neighbor as myself. O Jesus, Omnipotent Child, I again implore Thy assistance on this occasion (mention it). Grant that I may possess Thee eternally, with Mary and Joseph, and adore Thee with the angels and saints in heaven. Amen.

AN exile for the Faith
Of thy Incarnate Lord,
Beyond the stars,—beyond all space,
Thy soul unprison’d soar’d:
There saw in glory Him
Who liveth, and was dead;
There Juda's Lion, and the Lamb
That for our ransom bled:
There of the Kingdom learnt
The mysteries sublime,—
How, sown in Martyrs’ blood, the Faith
Should spread from clime to clime.
There the new City, bath’d
In her dear Spouse’s light,
Pure seat of bliss, thy spirit saw,
And gloried in the sight.
Now to the Lamb’s clear fount,
To drink of life their fill,

Novena to the Magi in Anticipation of the Epiphany
[This Novena begins on December 28th (the Feast of the Holy Innocents) and ends on January 5th (the Vigil of the Epiphany).]

℣. Incline unto my aid, O God.
℟. O Lord, make haste to help me.
℣. Glory be to the Father . . .
℟. As it was in the beginning . . .
℣. O holy Magi! Thou wert living in continual expectation of the rising of the Star of Jacob, which would announce the birth of the true Sun of justice; obtain for us an increase of faith and charity, and the grace to live in continual hope of beholding one day the light of heavenly glory and eternal joy. ℟. Amen.
