Glorious St. Anne, who is filled with compassion for those who invoke thee, and with love for those who suffer, heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at thy feet and humbly beg of thee to take the present affair which I recommend to thee, under thy special protection. Vouchsafe to commend it to thy daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy issue. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. O Jesus, humbled, sorrowful, desolate and resigned to death! help me to receive, with a resignation like thine, whatever afflictions Thou shalt please to send me. O Jesus calumniated, accused, and despised, teach me to look down with indifference on the judgments of men, and to suffer with patience the most provoking injuries. O Jesus, torn with stripes, pierced with thorns, weltering in blood for my sake, teach me to endure for love of Thee, the anguish and inconvenience of ill health, misery, or afflictions. Prayer to the Blessed Virgin

Thy intercession is most powerful, and thy goodness for mankind on earth, is equal to thy influence in heaven. I will henceforth honour and serve thee assiduously. O Glorious St. Joseph! faithful follower of Jesus Christ, to thee do we raise our hearts and hands, to implore thy powerful intercession in obtaining from the benign Heart of Jesus all the helps and graces necessary for our spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special favour we now implore [mention it].

EFFICACIOUS PRAYER to ST. JOSEPH
O Glorious St. Joseph! faithful follower of Jesus Christ, to thee do we raise our hearts and hands, to implore thy powerful intercession in obtaining from the benign Heart of Jesus all the helps and graces necessary for our spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special favour we now implore [mention it].
(Then say the following Versicle and Response seven times in honour of the seven joys and sorrows of St. Joseph.)
℣ O Glorious St. Joseph ! through the love thou bearest to Jesus Christ, and for the glory of His Name.
℟ Hear our prayers and obtain our petitions.

ACT of CONSECRATION to SAINT JOSEPH
O dearest Saint Joseph, I consecrate myself to thine honor and give myself to thee, that thou mayest always be my father, my protector and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a greater purity of heart and fervent love of the interior life. After Thine example may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And do Thou, O Blessed Saint Joseph, pray for me, that I may share in the peace and joy of thy holy death.
Amen.

Prayer to Be Freed from Evil Habits
GIVE me, I beseech thee, O Holy Spirit, Giver of all good gifts, that powerful grace which converts the stony hearts of mortals into burning furnaces of love. By Thy grace, free my captive soul from the thraldom of every evil habit and concupiscence, to restore to it the holy liberty of the children of God. Give me to taste how sweet it is to serve the Lord and crucify the flesh with its vices and concupiscences. Enlarge my heart that I may ever cheerfully run the way of Thy commandments until I reach the goal of my aspirations, the joys and bliss of Thy habitation in heaven. Amen.
