Prayer for the Triumph of the Catholic Faith

Almighty and eternal God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we kneel before Your Majesty, and thank You from the depth of our soul for the inestimable gift of the Catholic Faith, which you have deigned to reveal to us through Jesus Christ, True God and True man. We received this divine light in holy baptism and have promised You to keep this faith inviolate until death.

Increase in us Your gift of the Catholic Faith. By Your grace, may it be strengthened and made unshakeable. Daily increase in us the understanding of the beauty and profoundness of the Catholic Faith, that we might live in the deep joy of Your divine truth and be ready to sacrifice all things rather than compromise on or betray this faith. Grant us the grace to be resolved to undergo a thousand deaths for even one article of the Creed.

Graciously receive our act of humble reparation for all the sins committed against the Catholic Faith by the laity and clergy, especially by high-ranking clergy who, contrary to the solemn promise they made at their Ordination to be teachers and defenders of the integrity of the Catholic Faith, have become champions of heresy, poisoning the flock entrusted to them and gravely offending the Divine Majesty of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Truth.

Grant us the grace to see all the events of our life, and the immense trials our Holy Mother Church is now undergoing, in the supernatural light of faith. May we believe that You will cause to arise from today’s vast spiritual desert a renewed flourishing of faith that will adorn the garden of the Church with new works of faith and give rise to a new age of faith.

We firmly believe that the Catholic Faith is the one true faith and religion, which you invite every person freely to embrace. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the destroyer of all heresies, and the great Martyrs and Confessors of the faith, may the Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith triumph again in the Church and the world, so that no soul may be lost but rather come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of mankind, and through a right faith and righteous life attain eternal beatitude in You, O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To You be given all honour and glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Thanksgiving for the Graces Bestowed on the Blessed Virgin

When St. Gertrude had recited this short prayer, she saw in vision the Mother of divine grace arise and beseech the Blessed Trinity to grant her as large a measure of grace as the heart of man can receive in this life. Then the most glorious Trinity turned towards the saint, and filled her soul with unutterable grace and benediction.

Blessed be the ineffable, ever adorable omnipotence of God the Father; and blessed the wondrous and manifold wisdom of God the Son; and blessed the amazing and most tender goodness of the Holy Ghost, the Paraclete; for that ever-glorious Trinity hath deigned to decree from eternity, to create in time, and to bestow on us as our most effectual help and succor, the Virgin so full of all grace, in order that He might communicate to her His own divine and super-abounding beatitude. Amen.

DAY 6 - August 11th
Mary, our dear Mother and mighty Queen, take and receive our poor hearts with all their freedom and desires, all the love and all the virtues and graces with which they may be adorned. All we are and all we might be, all we have and hold in the order of nature as well as of grace, we have received from God through your loving intercession. Help us dear Mother to surrender to God all that we have, including our petitions. (Here mention your request). Our Lady and Queen, into your gentle hands, we entrust all, that it may be returned to its noble origin.

O Queen, assumed into heaven, pray for us. Amen.
August 11th ~ St. Philomena ~ Virgin, Martyr
Prayer to Saint Philomena

ST. PHILOMENA, behold me before the bright throne whereon the august Trinity hath set thee wearing thy double crown of virginity and martyrdom; behold, I lift suppliant hands to thee. Even the most cruel sufferings could not diminish the devotion of thy generous heart to the Celestial Lover Who was thy joy. And now thy Lord, to recompense these sufferings, wills to glorify thee by the mightiness of thy intercessions. Therefore it is to thee that I lift my suppliant hands. Ah! from the heights of the heavenly country, deign to cast a glance on me, thy humble client. O pure Virgin, O holy martyr, solace me in suffering and temptation, sustain me in trial and persecution, and assist me in danger, above all at the awful hour of death, when I shall have to combat all the powers of hell; pray for me in that final moment upon which my eternity hangs.

Hail Philomena, pearl of virgins, generous spouse of the King of kings! Hail, flower of martyrs, living host of Christ! Refuse not the succor of thy prayer to those who invoke it venerating thy merits. Amen.

Three Efficacious Petitions to the Blessed Virgin

When St. Gertrude recited these three petitions, which she had learned of the Blessed Virgin, it seemed to her as though she were so clothed and adorned with her surpassing merits, that the Lord of Majesty took ineffable delight in her.

O most Blessed Virgin Mary, I beseech thee by the most spotless purity wherewith thou didst prepare in thy womb a still and glad abode for the Son of God, that by thy intercessions I may be cleansed from every stain.

O most Blessed Virgin Mary, I beseech thee by that thy most gentle, deep humility whereby thou didst merit to be raised high above all angels and saints, that by thy intercessions all my negligences may be forgiven and satisfied for.

O most Blessed Virgin Mary, I implore thee by that unutterable love which united thee inseparably to God, that by thy intercessions I may receive an abundance of all merit. Amen.

Monthly Renewal of Consecration to Mary
To be said on the 13th of every month
in honor of Our Lady of Fatima

I, (say your name), a faithless sinner,
renew and ratify today in thy hands,
O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my baptism;
I renounce Satan, his pomps and works;
and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ,
the Incarnate Wisdom,
to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life,
and to be more faithful to Him
than I have ever been before.
In the presence of all the Heavenly court
I choose thee this day for my Mother and Mistress.
I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave,
my body and soul, my goods,
both interior and exterior,
and even the value of all my good actions,
past, present and future;
leaving to thee the entire and
full right of disposing of me,
and all that belongs to me, without exception,
according to thy good pleasure,
for the greater glory of God,
in time and in eternity.

Amen.

DAY 9 - August 14th
O Blessed Mother Assumed into Heaven, after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, we rejoice that you have at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in Heaven by the Holy Trinity. Lift our hearts with you in the glory of your Assumption above the dreadful touch of sin and impurity. Teach us how small earth becomes when viewed from heaven. Make us realize that death is the triumphant gate through which we shall pass to your Son and that someday our bodies shall rejoin our souls in the unending bliss of heaven. From this earth, which we tread as pilgrims, we look to you for help. In honor of your Assumption into Heaven, we ask for this favor (Here mention your request). At the hour of our death, lead us safely to the presence of Jesus to enjoy the vision of God for all eternity together with you.

Pray for us, O Queen assumed into heaven. Pray for us, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady, Help of Christians

O Mary, powerful Virgin, thou art the mighty and glorious protector of the Church; thou art the marvelous help of Christians; thou art terrible as an army in battle array; thou alone hast destroyed every heresy in the whole world. In the midst of our anguish, our struggles, and our distress, defend us from the power of the enemy and at the hour of our death, receive our souls in paradise. (St. John Bosco)

Amen

An indulgence of 3 years.
A plenary indulgence under the usual conditions, when this prayer has been devoutly recited every day for a month (S.P. Ap., Feb. 20, 1923 and July 29, 1933).

August 16th ~ ST. JOACHIM, Confessor ~
Father of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Traditional Feast Day
Prayer to St. Joachim

O great patriarch, Saint Joachim, deserving by thy singular virtue to be chosen of old by divine Providence to give to the world that Immaculate Queen, in whom all nations were to be blessed, and who, in her virginal bosom, was to bear the Saviour of the human race: we who are thy devout clients rejoice with thee in this thy great privilege, and implore thee to extend thy special protection to ourselves and our families. Do not, dear Saint, suffer the devil and sin to find a place in our hearts, nor the false maxims of the world to lead us astray; permit us not to live unmindful of eternity, for which we have been created. Obtain for us from God a firm and unshaken faith in opposition to the impieties and errors which are ever being spread abroad by the sects hostile to holy Church and the Apostolic See; a sincere and constant devotion to the Vicar of Jesus Christ, the Roman Pontiff; and an unfailing courage in refuting calumnies against those things which are most sacred and venerable in our holy religion.

Do thou, who art powerful by reason of that love which thy holy daughter Mary bears toward thee, assist the cause of the Church, gain for her the victory for which she sighs, scatter the powers of darkness, destroy their pride and grant that the light of the true faith may shine resplendent in all minds. Grant us, above all, a tender and filial devotion to thy beloved daughter and our Mother, Mary most holy, so that we, honoring her daily with our devout homage, may be made worthy to be numbered by her amongst her children; and after the miseries of this exile may be brought to praise and bless the mercy of God forever in heaven. Amen.

Our Father, Haily Mary, Glory be three times.

An indulgence of 300 days, once a day.
A plenary indulgence, once a month, on the usual conditions for the daily recitation of this prayer with piety. (Leo XIII, Motu propr., Aug. 16, 1890; S.P. Ap., July 8, 1936).

Prayer, O Excellentissima

O MOST excellent, glorious, most holy and ever inviolate blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, Queen of the world, and Mistress of all creatures! Thou who forsakest no one, despisest no one, who leavest in sadness none who seek help at thy hands with pure and lowly hearts; do not despise me because of the number and hatefulness of my sins, do not abandon me on account of my grievous iniquities nor on account of the hardness and uncleanness of my heart. Do not refuse me, thy servant, a share in thy favour and thy love. Hear me, a wretched sinner, who trusts in thy mercy and pity. (Continued below.)
