Most holy Virgin and our Mother, we listen with grief to the complaints of thy Immaculate Heart surrounded with the thorns which ungrateful men place therein at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. Moved by the ardent desire of loving thee as our Mother and of promoting a true devotion to thy Immaculate Heart, we prostrate ourselves at thy feet to prove the sorrow we feel for the grievances that men cause thee, and to atone, by means of our prayers and sacrifices, for the offenses with which men return thy tender love.

Obtain for them and for us the pardon of so many sins. A word from thee will obtain grace and amendment for us all.

Hasten, O Lady, the conversion of sinners, that they may love Jesus and cease to offend the Lord, already so much offended, and will not fall into hell.

Turn thine eyes of mercy towards us, that henceforth we may love God with all our hearts while on earth and enjoy Him forever in heaven. Amen.

O Heart most pure of the Blessed Virgin Mary, obtain for me from Jesus a pure and humble heart.

Powerful Protector, thou knowest the tempter's desire to harm my baptized and believing soul. He would have me sin, by rejecting the Holy Sacraments and the life of virtue. Good Saint of Ars, dispel from me the traces of the enemy. Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in thine intercession.

DAY 1 - August 6th
Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, we believe in thy triumphant assumption into heaven where the angels and saints acclaim thee as Queen of Heaven and earth. We join them in praising thee and bless the Lord Who raised thee above all creatures. With them we honor thee. We are confident that thou watchest over our daily lives and we ask thee to intercede for us now. (Here mention your request). We are comforted by our faith in the coming Resurrection and we look to thee for prayers and comfort. ℟ A witness of your life made this magnificent praise of you: ‘We would have taken him for an angel in a mortal body.' You so edified others; modesty and exquisite purity radiated from your body. With such charm and with such enthusiasm you preached to others about these beautiful virtues, which you said resembled the perfume of a vineyard in bloom. Please, I beg you to join your entreaties to those of Mary Immaculate and Saint Philomena in order that I guard always, as God asks me, the purity of my heart. You, who have directed so many souls towards the heights of virtue, defend me in temptations and obtain for me the strength to conquer them. But this earthly glory is only a very pale image of the unspeakable glory which thou enjoyest with God. During the time thou wast on earth, thou used to repeat in thy dejected hours, “One will rest in the other life.” It is done, thou art in eternal peace, and eternal happiness. I desire to follow thee one day. Until then, I hear thou sayest to me: "You should work and fight as long as you are in the world." Teach me then to work for the salvation of my soul: to adhere to the one, holy Catholic Faith, to receive the sacraments worthily, to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ (here bow your head), and to do good towards my neighbor, in order that I may receive the happiness of the Elect with thee.
