Regjeringspartiene Ap og Sp er enige med H og Frp om å gå videre med gruvedrift på havbunnen. WWF Verdens naturfond kaller beslutningen for den største skampletten i norsk havforvaltningshistorie i moderne tid.

The government parties Ap and Sp agree with H and Frp to go ahead with mining on the seabed. WWF The World Wide Fund for Nature calls the decision the biggest disgrace in Norwegian ocean management history in modern times

Dette er den største skampletten i norsk havforvaltningshistorie i moderne tid og spikeren i kista for Norges omdømme som en ansvarlig havnasjon. At regjeringen og deler av opposisjonen nå er enige om å gå videre med gruvedrift på havbunnen mot alle faglige råd og med en konsekvensutredning som har fått slakt fra alle hold, er ikke mindre enn en skandale, sier generalsekretær i WWF Verdens naturfond, Karoline Andaur.
