In 1993, when she was 22
years old, Becky was killed in a car accident a few miles away from her parents’ home in Cedarville. She had just graduated from Wooster College and had been planning to pursue journalism as a career when she died.

Prior to becoming a Senator...and then current Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine was the Attorney General for the state of Ohio from 2011-2019.
The DeWines had been hosting annual fundraisers for HANDS TOGETHER since 2000. The proceeds from these events were supposed to go to the Becky DeWine schools in Haiti.
