Memes get old so quickly nowadays. Not necessarily in a way it gets annoying or forced fast, don't get me wrong (although it also happens). Take for example the new conveyor belt meme. It hasn't even been a week since it broke into the mainstream and the web is already full not only of it, but its fusion with other memes, ironic, post ironic and meta edits and so forth. Compare that to troll face or doge. It took literal years for them to evolve like that. The flow of information is so much stronger and faster now. Current cultural web landscape will be ancient history in a few years.
