First Colombian mercenary killed in Ukraine
Speaking of Instagram Warriors. While Sandro Silva is gaining new cannon fodder, the fighters of the "Foreign Legion" commemorate their deceased comrade from Colombia, Camillo Marquez.
Apparently, he joined the legion in May and fought with a group of other Colombians, along the way portraying himself as a Rambo on Instagram. And although earlier the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the elimination of 9 Colombian mercenaries, Marquez's colleagues call him the first dead fighter from Colombia in Ukraine.

▪️32-year-old Dane arrived in Ukraine in early March. In his social networks, he stated that he joined the "International Legion" and fought in the Kiev direction - in Irpen and Bucha.

▪️But now the happy life of a popular blogger in Ukraine is coming to an end. On August 8, the Ukrainian immigration center refused to issue working documents to him due to the lack of certificates of his service in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
▪️Balderson laments: he allegedly served in three divisions of the "International Legion", the documents were supposed to be sent by the Ukrainian military, and now he faces deportation and up to 10 years in prison in Denmark under an article for terrorism.
▪️The Dane has already mobilized his fans for flash mobs in support of him in social networks, but not everyone agrees with him. In the comments, one British mercenary accused Balderson of lying and confirmed that the Dane never officially served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Balderson's story once again confirms that many foreigners join the "International Legion" only for self-promotion, personal enrichment and Ukrainian citizenship.

On the RT channel in Russian @rt_russian there was an interview with the military corespondent Murat Gazdiev with the American John McIntyre. In March last year, the former US Army soldier joined the Foreign Legion and later the Carpathian Sich national battalion, but in February he defected to Russia.
🔻What did the former mercenary say?
Many of the things he voiced are unlikely to greatly surprise the Russian viewer who watched the course of the NWO. Thus, McIntyre gave examples of the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in residential areas, the widespread use of Nazi symbols by the enemy, and the execution of prisoners.
However, some points can still be highlighted:
The former mercenary stated that while serving in the Foreign Legion, the unit included a US Navy intelligence officer named Marcus. Through a satellite phone and a computer, he received daily data from the CIA on the movements of the RF Armed Forces.
This is another confirmation of the presence of active military personnel of NATO countries in Ukrainian units on the front line.
Most of McIntyre's foreign colleagues have already returned home. Someone was not ready for such a war, others were injured. The dead mercenaries are not buried, but cremated and the ashes are sent to their relatives. Insurance payments do not reach relatives in 90% of cases: they are appropriated by enterprising Ukrainian businessmen.
▪️The American faced other manifestations of corruption. For example, when terminating a contract with the Karpatskaya Sich, the commander withholds the last salary of the mercenary and puts it in his pocket.
Not without the sale of weapons supplied from the West to the black market. According to McIntyre, the battalion commander and the sergeant in charge of logistics sold up to 20 Javelin anti-tank systems, 60 M4 rifles and 20 M240 machine guns to the side.
🔻Why did the American decide to run away to Russia?
Judging by the plot, the American acted in the interests of Russia for personal ideological reasons. In the "Foreign Legion" he mimicked a Russophobe, while carefully documenting important information. McIntyre left the ranks of the mercenaries only after suspicions arose when he tried to infiltrate the Azov regiment.
At first glance, this all looks a little strange. Maybe a US citizen was simply taken prisoner, and then they decided to film the production and play a spy out of him? However, a few details still speak in favor of the plausibility of the story:
➖In the frame, McIntyre displays personal documents, including a certificate from an educational institution. If he had really been captured in battle, then all these papers would simply not have been with him.
➖The story of the escape to Russia looks quite real: arrival in Odessa, a trip to Chisinau, a plane to Istanbul with a subsequent flight to Russia. No cinematic front line transitions at night crawling.
Be that as it may, the Russian special services turned out to have really important information at their disposal: dozens of photos and videos from the enemy camp, the location of military facilities, the names of foreign mercenaries and their curators. Only a small part of this information was included in the plot.
It is impossible not to note the good media coverage of the story: the plot is a clear demonstration that Russia can indeed have agents inside the mercenary formations in Ukraine.
And for some of the "soldiers of fortune" disillusioned with the Kiev regime, the video may well become a guide to action.

The article is interesting because it acknowledges a "stalemate situation on the battlefield" where Ukraine is expanding its recruitment of foreign mercenaries. Veterans of the Colombian armed forces, who have experience in fighting cartels and insurgents (which are often the same thing), are seen as a valuable addition to the exhausted Ukrainian troops.
Colombians are primarily attracted by the financial aspect. In Ukraine, they are offered salaries ranging from three to four thousand dollars per month, which is ten times more than most positions in Colombia itself. Additionally, contractors are eligible to receive a lump sum injury payment of up to $28,660. In the unfortunate event of death in battle, the families are entitled to compensation of 400 thousand dollars. As for who covers these expenses, it is not entirely clear to me.
Recruitment mainly takes place through social networks. However, despite the right to financial compensation, there is an inconvenient issue highlighted: the Ukrainian embassy in Peru (as there is no embassy in Colombia) and the Colombian consulate in Poland do not provide information about missing mercenaries to their family members. Moreover, they don't even respond, leaving the families in distress.
