🇷🇺🇺🇦 Pokrovsk direction: expansion of the control zone in Lysychne and liberation of Serhiivka

Despite the difficult situation in the Kursk direction, the Tsentr group of forces continues the successful liberation of the Donetsk People's Republic in the direction of Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk.

▪️In the area of Tymofiyivka, Russian troops have shifted the front line westward, driving the enemy out of Lysychne. In Ivanovka, clashes are ongoing on the northwestern outskirts of the settlement, and according to some reports, the AFU have completely withdrawn from the village.

▪️To the south, units of the Tsentr group of forces have liberated Serhiivka: this fact is confirmed by recorded video materials.

It also became known about the capture of the scarce American-made BREM M88A2 Hercules recovery vehicle, encountered for the first time in the Pokrovsk direction. Judging by the photos that appeared online, it has almost no damage and will likely be transported to the Russian rear.

▪️From Zhelanne, there are also reports of the advance of Russian troops within the settlement and consolidation on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in the east of the village. According to preliminary data, Zhelanne has come under the full control of the Russian Armed Forces, and the area is currently being cleared.

In addition, battles are ongoing on the approaches to Kamyshevka and Novozhelenoye, the capture of which will allow to encircle the enemy in the "pocket" on the opposite bank of the Volchia river in the area of the villages of Mezheve and Skuchne, if the Ukrainian formations do not leave their positions.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Pokrovske Direction: Advances by the Russian Armed Forces in Several Sectors

While Ukrainian formations continue to attack in the Kursk Region, the operational crisis of the AFU in the Pokrovske Direction has been steadily worsening over the past few weeks. Over the past few days, Russian Armed Forces units have been able to expand the zone of control towards both Novohrodivka and the Karlovo Reservoir.

▪️Northwest of Zhelanne, Russian troops have occupied Zhuravka and have begun fighting in Kruti Yar. Apparently, the main objective of the Russian Armed Forces in this sector is the Novohrodivka Mine No. 3, located to the west, which is situated on high ground.

To the south, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces have also expanded the zone of control, but due to the lack of objective control footage online, it is difficult to establish the front line. Here too, Russian servicemen are trying to break through to the Kotliarevska Mine (formerly "Rossia"), which was previously used by the AFU as a deployment point for equipment and communication systems.

❗️There are also reports of the Russian assault troops reaching the outskirts of Selidovo, but it is not yet possible to confirm this information. The city has been hit by several artillery strikes, and FPV drones are now targeting targets within the city limits.

▪️The Russian troops have achieved significant successes on the southern flank, where at least five settlements have come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Among them is Zavetne, from the center of which videos have appeared of the Russian flag being raised.

From the line of Novosilka First - Yasnobrodivka, Russian units have straightened out the zone of control along the shore of the Karlovo Reservoir. On the opposite side, Ukrainian formations still maintain control over Ptychye.

▪️The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported the liberation of the settlement of Svyrydonivka, located on the northern flank. However, according to our information, the village was occupied by units several days earlier.

🔻Over the past few weeks, the situation for Ukrainian formations in the Pokrovske Direction has significantly deteriorated, and the overall description of the situation for the adversary is often reduced to interjections. The scale of the advance of Russian troops also demonstrates the cost of the AFU offensive in the Kursk Region.

At the same time, the Ukrainian command is already actively preparing Selidovo and Myrnohrad for defense in case of further advancement of the Russian Armed Forces - from August 19, a virtually round-the-clock curfew has been introduced in the cities, and reserves are being redeployed there.

On the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove Direction, the AFU continue to lose more positions. Russian forces are suppressing pockets of enemy resistance and advancing towards Kurakhove, gradually encircling the AFU grouping to the east.

▪️In Selidovo, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces have established control over the territory of the city park and the "Avanhard" stadium. Now the Russian troops are fighting in the area of Hohol Street, beyond which there is a sector of apartment buildings used by the enemy to build up defenses in the city.

To the south, the forward groups of Russian assault troops reached 8 Veresnya Street, dislodging the AFU from several positions. Local residents report active artillery work in the area of the "Malvina" kindergarten, where the line of contact is likely passing at the moment.

❗️West of Nahorna Street is a quarter of high-rise buildings, which the Ukrainian formations will likely try to turn into a key defensive strongpoint. Successful overcoming of the AFU resistance in this area will allow the Russian Armed Forces to consolidate their control over the quarter and prevent the enemy from organizing a fortified defense line.

▪️To the south, Russian forces, according to available information, have liberated the settlement of Dolinivka, abandoned by the enemy due to the lack of ability to hold it. To the east, the Russian Armed Forces have established control over most of Halytsynivka, dislodging the AFU from positions on the southern bank of the Volchia River.

According to some information, the forward groups of Russian infantry have already entered the territory of Zhelanne Pershe, while the majority of enemy units have retreated from the settlement.

❗️Certain sources also report the start of fighting for Ukrainsk, but it is not yet possible to confirm this with objective control footage and information from the scene.

🔻The combat situation for the AFU is apparently deteriorating rapidly. Russian forces are actively advancing towards Kurakhove, the enemy's key transportation hub, which creates a threat to the supply of several AFU groupings on other directions of the front.

In addition, the situation in the Nevelske area remains unclear: according to unconfirmed data, Ukrainian formations are still present in the fields to the west of it. In this case, the advance of Russian units towards Kurakhove will effectively mean their encirclement.
