⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in the #Soledar Direction until 13:00 on 12 Dec 2022⚡️

Fierce fighting continues on the outskirts of #Bakhmut. Rumours are circulating on the net that Ukrainian troops have completely withdrawn from the populated area, but this is not the case. While some units have indeed withdrawn from the town to be re-staffed, the remaining garrison is still holding their ground.

♦️#Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) Sector:

▪️ Units of the AFU's 54th AFU Mechanized Brigade, supported by artillery, halt the advance of Russian forces. The AFU suffers heavy losses and some personnel have been withdrawn to #Konstantinovka.

▪️ Wagner PMC assault units have gained control of two platoon strongholds on the #Bakhmut - #Soledar line and are approaching the road connecting the settlements.

▪️ Reinforcements from #Chernigov region have been transferred to reinforce the Ukrainian grouping, while the AFU's 57th Brigade is being restaffed with mobilised men without combat training.

▪️ Separate units of the AFU's 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, previously based at the #Zaporozhye command, arrived in #Paraskovievka the day before.

▪️ In addition, formations of the AFU's 77th Airmobile Brigade, trained in the UK, are scheduled to arrive from #Zhytomyr region in the near future.

♦️#Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk) Direction:

▪️ The DPR People's Militia military forces, supported by artillery, conduct an offensive east of #Toretsk.

In order to hold the lines from #Kleshcheyevka to #Toretsk and #Druzhba, the personnel of the 3rd Battalion of the AFU's 28th Mechanized Brigade, which previously arrived from the #Kherson direction, have been redeployed.

♦️#Lysychansk Section:

▪️ The AFU are preparing for an offensive near #Belogorovka. Two assault groups have been formed in #Serebryanka and a collection point for the wounded was organized in #Grigorovka.

▪️ Two Furiya and Leleka-100 reconnaissance UAVs are operating in the area northeast of #Seversk.

♦️#Soledar Site:

▪️ Wagner PMC assault troops are fighting in the central part of #Soledar, advancing rapidly towards the western outskirts towards Mine 7.

▪️ In parallel, an offensive by Russian forces is developing to the northwest of #Soledar towards the Sol railway station and from the Red Mountain and #Bakhmutskoye sides towards #Blagodatnoye.

▪️ During the assault of the #Paraskovievka - #Blagodatnoye line, Russian fighters took control of one platoon, three company strongholds and ten AFU fire positions.

▪️The RF Armed Forces have effectively encircled the #Soledar garrison from the west, south and north, cutting it off from supply. In the night, the AFU partially withdrew troops from the settlement.

♦️#Bahmut:

▪️ Ukrainian formations are attempting to defend the eastern and southeastern outskirts of the town. Information is already circulating within the AFU units about the start of withdrawal of some forces to Chasov Yar and #Konstantinovka under the cover of the remaining units.

▪️The enemy command has engaged not only the Special Forces of Operation and National Guard of Ukraine, but also the 3rd Lugansk Border Guard Detachment of the Eastern Regional Directorate and the 24th Mogilev-Podolsky Border Guard Detachment of the Ukrainian State Border Service from the #Vinnitsa region to deter the advance of the assault units of the Russian forces.

♦️#Bahmut Area to the South:

▪️ The storming of #Opytnoye continues, where the Wagnerians have advanced to the northern outskirts of the suburb. A sweep of adjacent neighbourhoods is currently ongoing.

▪️ In #Kleshchiyevka, the RF Armed Forces have breached the AFU defences and are fighting in the central areas of the village. The Ukrainian command is moving reserves to hold the strategically important area, the loss of which would threaten the AFU positions in Chasov Yar.

♦️#Toretsk Area:

▪️ Units of the DPR's People's Militia took control of a stronghold of the 5th Separate Assault Regiment, destroying three members of Ukrainian militants and capturing two others.

▪️150 pieces of artillery ammunition were supplied to the 5th Separate Assault Regiment's forward positions. At the same time, the unit started to have problems with the functioning of equipment due to lower air temperatures.

♦️ Here, as yesterday, our pressure to the south of the city in the direction of #Krasnoye continues to intensify.

🔹 Yesterday the Wagner PMCs occupied several more enemy strongholds in the direction of this settlement, and apparently today this movement will continue. All the more so, the consequences from #Zaporozhye direction are already playing into our hands, where the enemy has already been forced to transfer reserves even from the north #Donbass front.

🔹 North of the city, stubborn fighting for control of #Paraskovievka (the most important road junction) continues.

🔹 Also, headquarters and all sorts of "logistics" are gradually being withdrawn from the town, which suggests that the AFU command is preparing for further territorial losses and is not particularly optimistic about retaining the town.

📌 For now it can only try to hold back our offensive in the hope that the crisis in the south will not be large-scale and this will generally allow it to retreat in an orderly manner to new lines east of #Slavyansk and #Kramatorsk and to hold Chasov Yar.
