🩸Intense fighting continues in the vicinity of #Bakhmut and #Soledar. The AFU deploys additional units, see also 👉 Bakhmut's Chaos among Units, to hold #Bakhmut town.
♦️#Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk) Area:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault troops are breaking through the fortified area in #Opytnoye. Fighting is taking place on Shkolnaya Street near the Agrarian Lyceum. Ukrainian tank vehicles are firing indiscriminately at the advancing Russian units from Illich Street.
▪️ Northeast of #Bakhmut, Russian forces took control of two strongholds of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade near #Podgorodnoye and one position of the 17th Tank Brigade in the Krasnaya Gora direction from #Pokrovskoye to #Bakhmutskoye.
▪️ On the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut, according to intercepts of AFU conversations, part of the forested areas have been liberated and advance from the Sinat plant along the industrial zone has begun.
▪️ In the southwest, the RF Armed Forces have taken control of two more AFU firing positions near #Kleshchiyevka and west of #Kurdyumovka. Units of the 28th Mechanized Brigade attempted a counterattack, but the militants were repulsed.

🩸Heavy fighting continues in the vicinity of #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk) and #Soledar. The AFU are trying to stop the advance of the RF Armed Forces and intends to conduct combat reconnaissance in the industrial zone to determine the frontline of the Russian military's defences.
♦️#Bakhmut Area:
▪️ The AFU forces of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade attempted to retake positions on the southeastern outskirts of #Bakhmut. The attack was repulsed and the Ukrainian militants withdrew with losses.
The 57th Brigade spreads information about large losses in the compound's 17th Battalion - only 100 men left. On 16 January, the 17th Separate Pontoon Bridge Battalion, which had previously withdrawn to #Konstantinovka, will be disbanded and its personnel will be transferred to other units.
In addition, the formations previously operating in the #Kherson direction have arrived in Chasov Yar. The transferred units will become part of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the AFU after a short harmonisation phase.
▪️ Northeast of #Bakhmut, the Wagnerians have taken control of two platoon strongholds near #Podgorodnoye as well as seven fire positions northwest of the #Bakhmut - #Soledar line.
▪️ In the southwest, the assault on the AFU fortified area at #Kleshchiyevka, held by combined units of the 24th and 63rd Mechanized Brigades as well as the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, continues. During the fighting, Russian forces have taken another stronghold under theit control.
▪️ Engineer units of the 28th Mrchanized Brigade are equipping the second line of defence in the #Ivanopol region in case the line in #Kleshchiyevka is breached.
♦️#Soldar Section:
Wagner PMC assault troops are advance on #Soledar from the direction of #Bakhmutskoye and #Yakovlevka. Active fighting led to the takeover of two company strongholds and five observation posts of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade and 61st Mechanized Brigade of the AFU.
▪️ At the same time, the advance towards #Razdolovka and #Veseloye continues. To deter the offensive, the AFU engineering units have set up minefields in the centre of #Veseloye, while artillery crews are shelling the southern outskirts of the village and #Yakovlevka.
🩸 In total, over the AFU have irretrievably lost more than 200 people to fighting and artillery strikes in the last two days. In addition, a depot near #Yablonovka, where AFU members were also staying, was hit by artillery.
Units of the Ukrainian National Guard from the #Sumy Region are expected to be moved to #Bakhmut to compensate for the losses. The distribution of diesel generators donated by the USA as part of military assistance has begun in #Konstantinovka.

🔹After a short pause our troops resumed their attacks in the #Soledar direction.
🔹As a result of the attacks we forced the enemy to retreat to the main contour of the town's defence in its western part, supported by high-rise buildings and salt mines.
🔹At the same time, to avoid taking it head-on, attacks continue to encircle the city from the north and from the south (here, this is also part of the attack on #Artyomovsk/#Bakhmut). The movement is proceeding quite dynamically.

▪️ In parallel, an offensive by Russian forces is developing to the northwest of #Soledar towards the Sol railway station and from the Red Mountain and #Bakhmutskoye sides towards #Blagodatnoye.
▪️ During the assault of the #Paraskovievka - #Blagodatnoye line, Russian fighters took control of one platoon, three company strongholds and ten AFU fire positions.

🔻To the south of Yagodnoye, assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" established control over the hills and approached Artemovsky (Khromovo). The last physical supply route for the Armed Forces of Ukraine runs through this suburb of Bakhmut.
▪️In addition, the “Wagnerites” advanced in the area of the meat processing plant and reached one of the sites on the banks of the Bakhmutka River.
🔻In the east of the city, Russian units aligned the front line along Shchedraya Street in Zabakhmutovka. In the south, the Wagnerites reached Tselyannaya Street, and in Sobachevka they are fighting in residential areas.
▪️At the moment, the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has noticeably worsened. A partial withdrawal of Ukrainian formations to the opposite bank of Bakhmutka is currently underway - new firing positions are being set up in the central districts of the city.
🔻In the south-west of Bakhmut, regular raids by Wagner PMC units on Ukrainian positions near the highway to Konstantinovka and in Krasnoe make it possible to tie down the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern front.
On March 6, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans to transfer additional reinforcements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from various formations to Chasov Yar. Now the personnel are completing their training in training centers in the west of Ukraine.

🔻To the north of Artemovsky (Khromovo), the assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" reached the western outskirts of Bakhmut and approached the only remaining road to the city. Fighting is going on north of Artemovsky on the hills.

The Russian troops are continuing their offensive operation in the Soledar direction. The main focus is on gaining operational space to break into the fortified area of the AFU near Chasov Yar.
▪️ The Russian Armed Forces have managed to advance to the southeastern outskirts of Orikhove-Vasilevka (fighting is ongoing for Balka Kudlin), expand the zone of control from Dubovo-Vasilevka towards Grigorovka, and also reach the eastern outskirts of Bogdanovka.
The forest belt south of the eastern tip of Bogdanovka is under enemy control. We have managed to establish a foothold on the Grigorovka-Bogdanovka road.
▪️ To the south, fighting is taking place around the turn to the highway to Chasiv Yar from the side of Khromovo. After capturing the Bakhmutsky Shlyakh autodrome, units of the Russian troops have started firing at the positions of the AFU to the west.
▪️ To the west of Bakhmut, the Kamerton detachment, formed from former fighters of the Wagner PMC, is clearing the western outskirts of the dachas in the direction of Ivanovsky (Krasny). In two days, they have managed to expand the zone of control in the private sector.
▪️ After occupying the dominant height 215.7 on the northwestern outskirts of Kleshcheevka, Russian troops are expanding the zone of control. From the heights, the Russian Armed Forces control the advance routes and approaches of the AFU to Kleshcheevka.
▪️ To the east of Andreevka, the Russian Armed Forces are making efforts to regain control of the dams in front of the railway track.
🔻A head-on assault on Chasov Yar, located at the heights, is a difficult task (mines, quarries, and several forests with tracts cannot be taken at once). Most likely, the Russian Armed Forces will bypass the fortified area from the north and south, which is why the offensive is being carried out in the direction of Grigorovka.
