For the first time in a long while, there is activity and a local breakthrough observed in the Oleksandro-Kalinovo direction. Last evening, reports started appearing on the resources of both sides about a breakthrough of the front line from Horlivka towards Toretsk (Dzerzhynsk).

According to the most optimistic statements, the advance of Russian units was around 3-5 kilometers, and this is on one of the oldest and best-fortified sectors of the front.

▪️According to initial reports, Russian troops broke through from Leninske (Pivdenne) to the administrative borders of Artemove (Zalizne), but this information has not yet been definitively confirmed.

▪️However, our sources confirm the push from the Mayorsk checkpoint towards Druzhba. According to available information, the advance was around 900 meters along the railway and towards the 3rd lift pumping station on the Siversky Donets - Donbas canal. At the moment, there is no footage of objective control, and the fighting is ongoing, so the situation may change somewhat.

🔻Interestingly, previous attempts at advancement in this area were by the opponent about a year ago. In late June - early July 2023, Ukrainian formations carried out several local attacks in the Druzhba area on the eastern bank of the canal. Otherwise, the sector saw artillery duels and occasional raids by recon groups.

About an hour ago, footage appeared online of the Russian flag being raised over a school in the northwestern part of Novhorodske. This effectively means that the battle for the city is in its final stage.

▪️In the past few weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have achieved significant success in this area, managing to break through the defense lines of the AFU and occupy dominant heights. Given the rapid advance of Russian assault groups, there is a possibility of encircling enemy forces in the city and the "pocket" to the east.

▪️Judging by the configuration of the front line, the phenol and machine-building plants have also come under the control of Russian troops, which most likely means the capture of the private sector. If the guesses are correct, the Ukrainian formations could have left the city due to the threat of being trapped in a "cauldron".

▪️In this case, the Russian troops will clearly continue the offensive towards the villages of Leonidivka, Shcherbynivka and Petrivka to further encircle Dzerzhynsk from the west, which will significantly complicate the situation of the AFU in the city and in the sector as a whole.

Against the backdrop of the success of the Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction, the situation in the Dzerzhynsk agglomeration was somewhat overshadowed, but here too there is a significant advance of the Russian Armed Forces.

▪️The majority of Druzhba, based on footage from objective control, has been liberated. Assault groups are operating on the northwestern outskirts of the settlement. Given the source of the footage, the settlement may actually have been completely liberated already. East of the village, at least part of the forest belts on both sides of the Siversky Donets - Donbas canal have also been cleared.

▪️In Kirovo (Pivnichne), there are battles, and the majority of the settlement has also come under the control of the Russian troops. The presence of the enemy remains on the northwestern outskirts north of the cemetery. However, given the ongoing clashes, it is most likely that the Ukrainian formations will try to cling to and hold as long as possible the Dachne area located to the west.

▪️On the eastern outskirts of Dzerzhynsk (Toretsk), the advance groups of assault troops were able to occupy the intersection of Tereshkova Street and 91st Division some time ago. Battles are underway for the territory of the Central Hospital and the garages to the south. One of the difficult defense nodes of the enemy may be the Toretsk Correctional Colony No. 2, but only if the operational crisis does not worsen.

The situation in the quarters on the southern outskirts, in the area of Gaidara Street, remains shrouded in the fog of war. The Russian troops attempted an attack through the territory of the previously occupied psychiatric hospital, but how successful it was is still unclear.

▪️A similar situation exists in the area of Nelepovka and north of Novhorodske (New York). There is no information about new attacks by the Russian Armed Forces or counterattacks by the AFU, but this does not directly indicate a lull.
