The Justice Department has uncovered allegations related to the 2011 Mt.Gox hack and operation of the illegal BTC-e cryptocurrency exchange.
Aleksey Bilyuchenko, 43, and Alexander Werner, 29, both Russian citizens, are accused of conspiring to launder approximately 647,000 bitcoins from the Mt.Gox hack, according to court documents. Bilyuchenko is also accused of conspiring with Alexander Vinnik to manage BTC-e from 2011 to 2017.
