Yes, at times, the phrase “Christ is King” is used to justify abhorrent behavior towards other groups of people online, which is sad because that is not what Christ calls us to
Jesus did not call us to demean others. He called us to love others, including our enemies and [contrary to “truther” rhetoric] including those in the current state of Israel as well
God desires that all flesh be saved
But the fact remains that Jesus Christ is King. To claim contrary is a lie. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is God manifest in the flesh. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)
So, if at some point in time professing the name of Jesus Christ becomes a “hate crime,” so be it. If it means being beheaded or burned at the stake, praise God. The world is getting rather crazy, but Philippians 1:21 reassures that “to live is Christ and to die is gain”
