This has been posted previously, however, it’s relevant regarding the Children’s Museum allocation. An audit must be conducted to see where the money is being spent. It’s a not-for-profit; however, the moment they accepted my tax dollars, there is 💯 % transparency.

Not-for-profits should NEVER be funded by government, that responsibility lies exclusively with the Board of Directors to solicit donations for “their” mission, not expect the taxpayer to fund their dream. Many of their “dreams” do not align with the public’s best interest.

The elected officials giving away taxpayers money to not-for-profits competes directly with basic government obligations of roads, water, sewer, etc. Elected officials in their arrogance believe government can perform better than the private sector. Invariably government gets involved with private deals, cost overruns and special interest; every time

My government instead supports issuing bonds, “creative financing”, leasing of streets, and burdening the community with almost $1 BILLION of debt due to feckless leadership.
