Indiana’s Public Access Counselor says the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation board members violated a state law.
In March, EVSC officials voted to close down Harwood Career Preparatory High School on First Avenue at the end of the school year. Across the street, EVSC permitted the establishment of an adult sex shop and recently purchased three parcels of real estate 🏡 abutting Harwood School. Why is expansion of the real estate occurring when the school is being closed? WARNING!!!
The EVSC Board continues to haphazardly support Superintendent Smith’s proposals without any oversight or consultation with the public or dialogue at the School Board meetings.
Interestingly Ann Ennis, a former member of the EVSC Board of Directors, filed the complaint. Ms Ennis currently serves on the Evansville Foundation and is responsible for securing $250,000 ESSER funds from EVSC for a secretive software program to monitor and refer students for mental health issues.
