Indiana Representative Larry Bucshon responds to my inquiry regarding the removal of Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy.
As a constituent, my position was to fire Speaker McCarthy for dereliction of duties. My comments were submitted on Oct 3, 2023, the response from Representative Larry Bucshon dated January 9, 2024 is attached.
My Representative defied my request and voted to retain McCarthy. Hasn’t worked out well for Buschon either; his resignation is effective January 2025.
McCarthy was removed and Representative Mike Johnson was elected as the Speaker on October 25, 2023.
There is rumblings of removing Speaker Johnson for not releasing the January 6th videos and beginning impeachment proceedings against Biden.
Interesting to see how Buschon will vote to fire Speaker Johnson for not fulfilling the will of the people.

The judge granted a preliminary injunction Thursday to a group Haitian immigrants in Indiana who have sued the state over the recently passed law. The Haitian immigrants say the law is discriminatory and unconstitutional and are seeking to permanently ban the provision.
