Market’s treating this FOMC like it’s just about rates, but I think that’s missing the point.

The hold was always the highest probability outcome. The real move is in the language.

No forward guidance means every data print from here carries more weight. The Fed isn’t spoon-feeding the market anymore, so positioning gets a lot harder and volatility gets a lot cleaner.

If they avoid leaning overly hawkish today and keep things balanced, I think September starts setting up nicely for risk.

Less certainty from the Fed doesn’t always mean bearish. Sometimes it just means the market has to price things properly again.

Personally staying patient. The next few weeks should tell us a lot.
