The women of the FFGS Female Empowerment Workshop, representing the six WMO RAs do not want to wait 300 years.

They proposed that the engagement of females in the field of meteorology and hydrology needs to bring change in the next four years.

Empowering women, mainstreaming gender in governance, working structures, programmes and service delivery, providing equal access to education, ensuring active and equal participation in disaster risk reduction initiatives and equal employment opportunities, can lead to more inclusive and sustainable outcomes.

Investing in gender equality today is an investment in our shared future.
