US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee:

I met Jonathan Pollard twice.

He asked if he could come and thank me for being kind to him. He came to the Embassy, and I think we met for maybe 30 minutes. It was a nice, pleasant visit.

The funny thing is that The New York Times reported it as a secret meeting. If you’ve ever been to the U.S. Embassy, you would know there’s no such thing as a secret meeting there. There are cameras everywhere.

Jonathan Pollard did something that was terribly wrong. He sold secrets. He shouldn’t have done it. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison and spent 30 years in prison. Most people convicted of something similar — which I believe was one count — would have spent maybe two to four years, but he spent 30.

I don’t have a problem with him spending 30 years because what he did was despicable.

I’m not defending what he did. But even people like the former Director of the CIA and a number of Senators on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the Senate Intelligence Committee said he should be allowed to leave and move to Israel if he wanted to.

So to me, it wasn’t that big a deal that I had this courtesy meeting. He simply wanted to thank me for being nice to him.

Tucker Carlson pressed US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on the biblical “Nile to the Euphrates” land promise to Israel, questioning whether that implies modern Israel has a claim to the entire region.

Huckabee says “it would be fine if they took it all.”

Tucker Carlson: If Israel were to say, “God gave us, in Genesis 15, all of Lebanon, all of Syria, all the way up to the Euphrates,” would that be legitimate in your view?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: I don’t think so in this particular day and time. They’re not asking for that.

Carlson: But would it be legitimate?

Huckabee: I’m not sure that it would be.

Carlson: But you just said that?

Christianity is growing in Israel.

There’s a big lie out there, and I keep hearing that Christians are not treated well in Israel. That’s simply not true. That claim is repeated a lot, but it’s false.

There were 34,000 Christians in Israel in 1948. Today, there are 184,000 Christians.

There is almost no Christians in Qatar.

Tucker Carlson: There are actually more Christians living in Qatar than in Israel. Fact.

Tucker Carlson: Netanyahu doesn’t practice Judaism in any rigorous way. His ancestors didn’t live here. They didn’t speak the language, and there’s no evidence they ever lived here.

So on what basis does he have a right for this land?

Tucker Carlson: How do we know that Bibi specifically — that the Prime Minister of Israel — that his ancestors ever lived here? How do we know that?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: Maybe I could ask you: how do we know they didn’t?

Tucker Carlson: How many kids were killed in Gaza?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: We don’t know.

Some of the kids who were killed had been recruited into military — kids as young as 14.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: Do you know what Israel does? They send pager messages and text alerts to every cell phone in Gaza, saying, “We’re going to hit this particular target.” They drop leaflets and publicly announce where they’re going to strike. Nobody does that — the U.S. doesn’t do that. Israel does this in order to prevent civilian casualties.

Tucker Carlson: I think your comment about the United States was very revealing. Why? Because your priorities are very clear.

Huckabee: No, no — you’ve misunderstood me. I did not take a dig at the U.S.

Tucker Carlson: When was the last time the U.S. military killed this many civilians?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: Well, it could have been Nagasaki. Hiroshima. It could have been Iraq or Afghanistan.

Tucker Carlson: Do you think a 14-year-old child has agency? Do you think he deserves to die because he’s being used by adults?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: He’s holding a gun and pointing it at someone who’s trying to save a hostage.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee:

If Israel had wanted to kill all the children in Gaza, they have the military capacity to do so.

They could have done it in less than a day.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee:

I don’t think it’s accurate to even suggest that tiny little Israel is pushing the U.S. into something it doesn’t want to do.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee:

Netanyahu doesn’t want a war with Iran.

Tucker Carlson: How many journalists has Israel killed in Gaza?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: I don’t know.

Carlson: Over 200.

Huckabee: But are they all real journalists? Because a lot of the people who were supposedly journalists were actually documented Hamas fighters.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told UAE National Security Advisor Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan in a recent letter that Riyadh could no longer “tolerate” the continuation of Sudan’s Civil War while Abu Dhabi supported the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
