German police arrested two port workers (a 37-year-old Romanian and a 54-year-old Greek) accused of trying to sabotage German Navy corvettes at the Port of Hamburg in 2025.

They allegedly:
— dumped abrasive material into engines,
— damaged water and fuel systems,
— disabled electronics on multiple ships (including the corvette Emden).

Arrests happened in Hamburg and northern Greece, with help from Greek, Romanian, and EU (Eurojust) authorities.

The damage was discovered before ships were seriously harmed.

Motive is unknown.
