Venezuela has also agreed that the United States will immediately begin refining and selling up to 50 million barrels of Venezuelan crude oil, and this will continue indefinitely. We’re all set to do it.

Venezuelan crude is a heavy oil — very good oil, great oil. It’s fantastic for certain uses, like asphalt roads.

Trump to U.S. oil executives:

If you don’t want to go in, just let me know — because there are 25 people not here today who are willing to take your place.

Trump:

We have Chevron here — where’s Chevron? Where are you?

You were the only one who stayed there through it all. For all that time, I used to call you and say, “What the hell is going on with Venezuela?”

You stuck it out. I don’t know if you made money or not, but you stuck it out.

JD Vance:

They (former U.S. administrations) would lose hundreds or thousands of American lives, and the American people would get nothing out of these misadventures.

And now you have an American President who has empowered the American military to stop the flow of drugs into our country and to ensure that we — rather than our adversaries — control one of the great energy reserves anywhere in the world.

Everything Venezuela purchase with the money they earn from oil will be bought from America.

That includes everything from equipment for the oil industry to food, to medicine, and everything in between.

We have less oil underground than Venezuela, but we have 20 times the production.

Trump:

If we did not do this, China or Russia would have done it.

Trump to Chevron:

I remember. Six months ago, I told you to stay, just stay. Things are going to happen. You’ll be very happy. I didn’t know they were going to happen this fast or this conclusively.

Trump on Venezuelan oil:

We are open for business. China can buy all the oil they want from us — either there or in the United States.

Russia can get all the oil they need from us as well.

China, Russia, and everybody else are welcome to come and do business. We’ll be open.

Trump on Delcy Rodríguez:

People in Venezuela did the right thing. They were smart.

They did not want to go through a second wave.

Rubio gives a note to Trump:

"Go back to Chevron. They want to discuss something."

Trump:

Cuba is third world all the way.

Rubio:

Cuba made a choice, they would rather have political control over the people rather than have an economy that functions.

They have gotten away with it for 60-something years because they had donors, the USSR and Venezuela.

Those are now gone.

Rubio:

So the people in control of Cuba have a choice to make. They can either build a real country with a real economy where their people can prosper, or they can continue down the path of a failing dictatorship.

That path will lead to systemic and societal collapse.

Trump: Well, I don’t think that’s going to be necessary.

Oil companies will have security guarantees in Venezuela.

Trump:

Venezuela now seem to be an ally, and I think they will continue to be an ally. We don’t want Russia there. We don’t want China there.

And by the way, we don’t want Russia or China going to Greenland.

If we don’t take Greenland, you’re going to end up with Russia or China as your next-door neighbor — and that’s not going to happen.

Trump on Iran protests:

Iran is in serious trouble. It looks to me like the people are taking control of certain cities — something nobody thought was really possible just a few weeks ago.

I’ve made it very clear that if they start killing people the way they have in the past, we will get involved. We will hit them very hard where it hurts.

That does not mean boots on the ground, but it does mean hitting them very, very hard where it hurts.

Trump on Syria:

We get along with both the Kurds and the Syrian government — as you know, very well.

They have been natural enemies over the years, but we have good relations with both, and we want to see Syria succeed.

So far, I think there has been progress, but this violence is just breaking out again, and we want to see it stopped.

Trump on Colombia’s Petro:

He’s been very hostile toward us — toward the country and toward me. He called me a dictator and said a lot of other things. He called Biden some terrible names too, far worse than what he called me.

But he reached out yesterday through intermediaries and said he wants to meet. That’s fine with me. I’ve made up with people before, you know.

So we’re going to have a meeting, and we actually had a very good conversation.
