Serhii K. is a retired Ukrainian army captain and former officer in the SBU who commanded an elite unit defending Kyiv during Russia’s 2022 invasion.

In May that year he and fellow servicemen were recruited with civilian divers for a secret mission called Operation Diameter to destroy the Nord Stream pipelines.

The plan was developed by senior Ukrainian military and intelligence officials under Gen. Valeriy Zaluzhniy, though both he and President Zelensky have denied involvement.
