China’s first domestically developed commercial jetliner, the C919, landed at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport in Shandong Province on January 19 as part of its 100-hour safety validation process.

The series of test flights will comprehensively verify its reliability, safety and efficiency prior to commercial operations.

The aircraft is expected to enter commercial operations in the spring of 2023.
