NEW - Owen Anderson, 37, arrested on kidnapping and sexual assault charges after a girl taken outside a Chicago movie theater in 2022 at age 15 is found alive following four years in captivity.

The victim was found held captive in Blacksburg, Virginia, 730 miles from where she was abducted.

At approximately 12:23 a.m. on July 2, 2026, four suspects approached a group of people standing outside a BP gas station in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street in #Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood and opened fire.

Four people were shot. Surbezz Clark, 53, and Carlos A. Jones, 46, were killed and pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center. A 35-year-old woman, who was shot multiple times in the leg, and a 33-year-old man, who was shot multiple times in the body, were critically injured and taken to the same hospital.
