Job Title: Genetic Engineering Specialist

Location: Biotech Startup, Wet Laboratory

Job Summary:
We are a rapidly growing biotech startup in food industry seeking a talented and driven genetic engineering specialist to join our team in the wet laboratory. The candidate will play a key role in conducting a variety of experiments related to genetic engineering, including the isolation and manipulation of DNA, the transformation of cells, and the analysis of genetic material. The candidate should have strong skills in microbiology, molecular biology, as well as a solid foundation in mycology.
It is highly probable that the job will require relocation to Armenia/Thailand.

Salary: approx. 7 - 15 USD/hour

Key Responsibilities:
Isolate and manipulate DNA from a variety of sources, including bacterial, fungal, and plant cells
Perform DNA transformation of cells using a variety of techniques, including electroporation and chemical transformation
Analyze genetic material using techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing, and DNA microarray analysis
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all experiments and results
Collaborate with other members of the research team to design and execute experiments
Stay current with new developments in the field of genetic engineering and mycology through literature review and attendance at scientific conferences
Contribute to the development of new products and technologies in the biotech field

Qualifications:
A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology
At least 3 years of experience in a wet laboratory setting, including experience with genetic engineering techniques
Strong skills in microbiology and mycology
Proficiency with a variety of laboratory equipment and techniques, including pipettes, centrifuges, and PCR machines
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Good communication skills and the ability to write scientific reports and papers
Ability to plan an experiment including vector and oligonucleotides design
