๐๐๐๐๐: Trevoh Chalobah has left Chelsea and joined Como on a permanent deal. ๐ค
Chalobah has signed a contract until June 2031 with the Italian side. โ๏ธ
Chalobah arrived at Chelsea as an Under-9, following in the footsteps of his elder brother Nathaniel. He progressed through the Academy and was an integral part of the side that won the UEFA Youth League in 2016. Chalobah also lifted consecutive FA Youth Cups, scoring semi-final and final goals in 2017.
A series of successful loans in the senior game โ at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and Lorient โ followed, before Chalobah stepped up to become a permanent member of the Chelsea squad shortly after his 22nd birthday.
He announced his arrival in style. First, on his Blues debut, Chalobah starred as the Blues won the Super Cup in Belfast with a penalty shoot-out success against Villarreal. A few days later, he marked his first Premier League appearance by firing in a thunderous long-range strike as Crystal Palace were beaten 3-0.
The next two seasons yielded 50 appearances across all competitions. Chalobah finished that campaign strongly, with his return to the side contributing to us winning the final five league games โ including against Tottenham when he scored โ and securing European qualification in the process.
Chalobah spent the first half of 2024/25 on loan at Crystal Palace before coming back to the Bridge and helping us win two more pieces of silverware. First up, he played the full 90 minutes in Wroclaw as Chelsea beat Real Betis 4-1 in the Conference League final.
A few weeks later, Chalobah made his senior England debut and then, at the expanded Club World Cup in the USA, featured five times as Chelsea lifted the new trophy. He started the quarter-final, semi-final and final, and only in the first of those games did the Blues concede.
Last season Chalobah played 47 games, the most of any of the central defenders, and scored three goals. He was a late call-up to Englandโs World Cup squad, playing once as the Three Lions finished third.
All the best, Chalobah! ๐ช

๐จโ ๏ธ Not everyone was happy with how things were going for them on the tour. More than one source connected to individuals in the travelling party said it was felt by some of them that Xabi Alonso had an A and a B team.
This led them to feel they would not be figuring in his plans, because they would regularly be training and playing with what seemed to be a second string of academy youngsters and fringe players linked with moves away. Chelsea do not agree a two-tier system was in place and say Alonso gave everyone, including U-21s players, a chance to impress.

๐ฆ๐บ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐พโ๏ธ Inside Chelseaโs 2026 pre-season tour:
The mood of Cole Palmer was an early gauge; those close to the Chelsea travelling party noticed he was in great spirits.
It was not just that he volunteered to do his first pre-match press conference since joining the club before the Tottenham friendly in Sydney, but also his interactions in the camp and at fan events.
When the team bus pulled up to, or away from, crowds, he would bang on the windows to get their attention and encourage more noise.
It was important for Chelsea staff and players to have access to lifts that were not available to other hotel guests and visitors. If you happened to be in official Chelsea clothing, an autograph was asked for, even if you were not a member of the playing squad.
The team enjoyed their interactions during the trip, as players would be chosen to attend commercial events to meet locals, with a preference to make them close to the hotel.
On Mudrykโs arrival, people at Chelsea found him to be a different person on arrival. Whereas he was previously regarded as a bit of a loner and sullen, Mudryk turned up full of smiles and hugs, engaging with as many club personnel as possible.
On training, Alonso & co were the ones to set the standards from the get-go during the trip. The idea being that everyone could see how hard the coaches were working, so would follow suit.
For example, training or a match would finish, and Alonso would be seen on the team bus immediately afterwards, already studying clips from it on his laptop and/or preparing the next session.
Not everyone was happy as it was felt by some of them that Alonso had an A and a B team. This led them to feel they would not be figuring in his plans.
Alonso used the only other day off, the Thursday in the first week, to play a round of golf with senior personnel.
On the last night in Hong Kong, all the players and staff made the most of a rare break to head out for a meal together.
Despite over 25,000 miles of flying, people were not counting down the days until they could return to England, but instead were focused and enjoyed this rare experience.

At the beginning of August, Garcia was called up to the Galaxy first-team squad for an MLS fixture for the first time, and he was an unused substitute in the 0-0 draw with FC Dallas.
