1. The ChatGPT political bias test has been replicated and extended. Now 14 out of 15 different political orientation tests diagnose ChatGPT answers as strongly left-leaning.
2. On December 6th, preliminary analysis showed ChatGPT to be strongly left-leaning.
3. After the December 15th update of ChatGPT, the analysis was repeated and it appeared as if the political bias had been partially mitigated.
4. But when tested again on the January 9th version, on a larger number of political orientation tests, ChatGPT again tested as extreme left.
5. When asked explicitly about its preferred political opinions, ChatGPT often lies and claims to have none.

Authors using LLMs in any way while developing a paper should document their use in the methods or acknowledgements sections, if appropriate, she says.”
