"For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David. And this shall be a sign unto you: You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God, and saying: 'Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will.'"โLuke 2:11-14.

Saint Tatiana in a church ceiling in Sant'Agostino, Rome

St. Tatiana is my Confirmation saint. Here's a bit of her story.
According to legend, she was the daughter of a Roman civil servant who was secretly Christian, and raised his daughter in the faith. She was actively participating in piety acts when one day the jurist Ulpian captured her and tried to force her to accept paganism at an Apollo temple. She suffered beatings and different tortures and, she never denied the Faith nor ceased praying.
She was beheaded with a sword ca. 226 AD.

This is probably my favorite cooking book. It's a compilation of traditional pasta recipes from nonnas from all over Italy. A true gem worth keeping.

As it is sadly usual by now, Our Lady is deeply attacked in many ways. The modern world directly attacks the virtues she professed most beautifully, among which are modesty, purity, virginity, humility, etc. It is for that reason, us Catholics must know how to defend some of the irreverent things often said by the secular world about her. In this case, the incarnation of Our Lord.
