Context….in March 2022, Brazil Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes made threats to shut down Telegram “if the platform did not remove messages found to contain disinformation”….

Telegram founder Pavel Durov then made changes to keep the app available in Brazil & satisfy Judge Alexandre de Moraes…

Those changes were to “tag specific posts as misleading, restrict several profiles that “disseminated disinformation” and promote verified information.”
