Meta Blow: Cambridge Analytica Case to go Forward

An Australian Federal Court has dismissed Facebook's appeal to throw out a data lawsuit, which claimed Facebook did not conduct business or collate personal data in the country.

It opens the door to privacy regulators, who have been waiting for two years for the case to go forward.

Australia’s regulator now will be accusing meta of breaching the privacy of over 300,000 Australian Facebook users, whose data was collected without their consent by consulting firm Cambridge Analytica through an app called This is Your Digital Life.
