The Illinois Senate passed the bill on Monday, and with the
House’s Tuesday vote, the bill is expected to be signed by
Governor JB Pritzker.

“Here’s the good news: There is bipartisan consensus that the era
of trusting communist China is over,” House Speaker Kevin
McCarthy said, praising the decision that was a major pillar of
the Republicans’ agenda for national security.
