MTG is straight up calling out Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert and Scott Perry. She says they all met with Kevin McCarthy last night and made personal demands in exchange for their vote today. Keep in mind, MTG and Gaetz are good friends - but that doesn’t stop MTG from speaking the truth.
Listen to her make the case for McCarthy. President Trump is behind McCarthy. The two greatest supporters of the MAGA agenda say McCarthy is the guy, so I support it. You might not like him personally, but sounds like we need to put our emotions aside.
Unless President Trump himself says he wants to be speaker, I think McCarthy is unfortunately our best choice.
This is about saving America and if the Republicans don’t get out of their own way, we are going to end up with someone worse than McCarthy.

The meeting between President Donald J. Trump and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, was a very good and cordial one. They discussed many topics, number one of which was taking back the House in 2022. President Trump’s popularity has never been stronger than it is today, and his endorsement means more than perhaps any endorsement at any time.
President Trump has agreed to work with Leader McCarthy on helping the Republican Party to become a majority in the House. They worked very well together in the last election and picked up at least 15 seats when most predicted it would be the opposite. They will do so again, and the work has already started.
