🇺🇸 President Trump just announced the "tariff dividend," a payment of AT LEAST $2,000 per American.

We expect 85%+ of US adults to receive this, resulting in $400+ BILLION handed out.

All as US debt nears $40 trillion.

What's next? Let us explain.

This morning, President Trump made the below announcement:

A dividend of at least $2,000 per person will be paid, EXCLUDING "high income people."

The economic implications of such a massive "stimulus"-like payment are huge.

Especially with markets at record highs.

First, who will be receiving this payment?

Let's take a look at the most recent stimulus payment, the March 2021 $1,400 stimulus check.

Full payments were only made to:

Single filers making up to $75,000, households making up to $112,500, and married earners up to $150,000.

Now, let's apply this same criteria to 2025:

Currently, there are ~220 million US adults who fit these income criteria.

The top ~15% of earners would be excluded as "high income."

220 million x $2,000 = ~$440 BILLION handed out.

And, the check could be larger than $2,000.

These payments come at a time where the wealth gap is at record highs.

In Q2 2025, consumers in the top 10% of the income distribution accounted for 49.2% of total US spending.

This marks the highest level in data going back to 1989.

But, there's a big problem here.

As seen in 2021, stimulus checks massively boost spending.

However, the one-time "boost" is followed by a long period of high inflation.

Following the last round of stimulus, US inflation neared 10%.

Now, inflation is back on the rise, at 3%, and more stimulus is coming.

Trump also states that after this payment, tariff revenue will go toward paying US debt.

Over the last 5 years alone, total US debt has surged +$10 TRILLION.

Since the government shutdown began on October 1st, US debt is up +$600 billion.

Can we really afford more stimulus?

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia attacked and put out of action all thermal power plants in Ukraine last night.

According to the company, the same thermal power plants that had been restored after attacks in 2024 were struck again, with multiple Russian drones targeting them ‘each minute’ overnight on Nov. 8.”

Russia has proven it is capable and will demolish Ukraine’s energy generation capacity, the infrastructure supplying it to civilian and industrial consumers and then its weapons manufacturing facilities.

Despite the risk of having their facilities destroyed or at the very least, impossible to operate due to a lack of power, Ukraine’s western partners are undeterred and are prepared to fund the construction of military factories.

🇺🇸 Trump announced that Americans would receive at least $2,000 each from tariff revenues.

The announcement came at a critical moment, just three days after the Supreme Court heard arguments questioning whether Trump has the legal authority to impose tariffs in the first place. By announcing a popular benefit now, Trump is trying to build public support for tariffs before the courts potentially restrict his ability to use them. The government shutdown was also ongoing, so announcing a payment to struggling Americans provided positive messaging during a difficult time.

However, Treasury Secretary Bessent explained hours afters that the dividend could come in "lots of forms" and might simply be the tax benefits already passed into law like not paying taxes on tips, overtime, or Social Security income. This is a significant shift from the original promise. Instead of a direct $2,000 check, Americans might only receive these tax deductions, which are worth significantly less.

Paying $2,000 to every American would cost roughly $660 billion. The government is currently collecting about $30 billion per month from tariffs, which means it would take almost two years of tariff revenue to pay everyone. Making this more complicated, courts have suggested that some of the $195 billion already collected this year might need to be returned if the tariffs are found to be illegal.

The biggest issue is that the tariffs funding the dividend are also making prices go up. Research from the St. Louis Federal Reserve shows that tariffs are responsible for a significant portion of the inflation Americans are experiencing in 2025. Studies indicate that current tariffs cost the average household about $1,500 per year through higher prices. So if you received a $2,000 dividend but paid $1,500 more for goods and services because of tariffs, your actual gain would only be around $500.

What appears to be happening is that Trump makes a big popular announcement that gets headlines and public support, but the actual benefit ends up being much smaller. By allowing Bessent to explain that the dividend could just be existing tax cuts, the administration can give credit for benefits without needing Congress to pass new legislation. This approach protects the administration politically heading into future elections while keeping expectations realistic about what Americans will actually receive.

🇮🇱🇺🇸⛪️ Haaretz: Israel pours millions into AI-hasbara, conservative/church targeting, and U.S. influence ops

Haaretz has uncovered a network of multimillion-dollar contracts showing that Israel is attempting to rehabilitate its image among American conservatives through a vast propaganda campaign spanning artificial intelligence, evangelical churches, and right-wing media networks.

The investigation reveals that since mid-2025, Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Tourism Ministry, and Government Advertising Agency (LAPAM) have routed millions through the PR giant Havas Media Germany to American contractors linked to Donald Trump’s political machine and evangelical circles. The effort is designed to “reshape Israel’s perception” amid a historic collapse in U.S. public support following the Gaza war.

❄️🇺🇸 Cold records dating back to the 1800s may be broken by a coming Arctic freeze

The season’s first outbreak of freezing, Arctic air is headed for the United States this weekend into next week. It will register as the most unusually cold blob of air on the planet for a time.

Chilly air will reach the Plains and the Midwest this weekend before spreading to the East Coast on Monday. In total, 155 million people across the contiguous states are expected to experience freezing conditions through Wednesday.

The most notable aspect of this early-season blast of cold air is how far south it will push, reaching the Deep South, the Gulf Coast and Florida, where temperatures will tumble 20 to 30 degrees below average for the time of year early next week. In the Sunshine State, the frigid air may break low-temperature records and cause iguanas to fall from trees. The air will also be remarkably dry, making it feel even colder when combined with gusty winds.

New temperature records — record cold days or nights — might be set across 13 states, from Pennsylvania to Florida, into next week.
