🇺🇸 America’s One-War Military Is No Match for Reality

🔶️ The Department of Defense is out-matched for the united threats it faces. This is reinforced by the report from the National Defense Strategy Commission, which opens with a sobering declaration: “The Commission finds that the U.S. military lacks both the capabilities and the capacity required to be confident it can deter and prevail in combat.”

🔶️ The key difference now being that the US military has lost a decade of valuable time to rebuild military capacity and bolster conventional and nuclear deterrents. The US Army active duty force is the smallest it has been since the end of World War II; the Navy has stagnated short of 300 battle force ships, half the size of the Cold War fleet; and the Air Force combat aircraft inventory continues to shrink as retirements outpace new purchases every single year.

🔶️ While the U.S. military can muster power when needed, it is divided across the world. Despite a “pivot to Asia” and a “return to great power competition,” little in terms of new combat power has shifted to the region, while Beijing continues to invest more into real, present, and capable combat power in its own neighborhood.

🔶️ Current wars have destroyed the myth of a short, exquisite war that Pentagon planners assume as the large scale conventional war in Ukraine grinds towards its third year and Israel battles its enemies across seven fronts simultaneously.

🔶️ In addition, the US Navy in the Red Sea is experiencing some of the highest operational tempo in decades even as munitions stocks for both attack and defense are strained and unable to be sustained by our brittle defense industrial base.

- Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 have a median average European 🇪🇺 ancestry of 98.9%, with over 1/4 being entirely 💯 European 🇪🇺.

- Around 1/2 of this European ancestry is genetically Dutch 🇳🇱, with the remainder being about a 1/4 genetically French 🇫🇷, and a 1/5 genetically German 🇩🇪, with the remaining 1/20 being the domain of other European nationalities 🇪🇺🇩🇰🇧🇪🇬🇧.

Their average relationship is similar to that of a 3️⃣rd or 4️⃣th cousin 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒, which is much closer than other European 🇪🇺population, who are rarely closer than 🎱th cousins 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 on average.

- This is due to their very small ⚛️ effective genetic founding population of 440 individuals, which is similar to the effective genetic founding population of 500 for Ashkenazi Jews ✡️.

- Around 89% of Afrikaners are Lactose 🥛🐮 persistent 🛡️. This is slightly higher than the Lactose 🥛🐮 persistence 🛡️rates observed in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, but still within the margin of error.

- Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 have a higher 📈genetic 🧬predisposition to autism 🧩 and empathy ☺️, and a lower predisposition to anger 🤬, obesity 🫃, and a high resting heart rate ❤️. A higher predisposition to autism 🧩 is typical for Eurasians , but the rest are not typical.

- Alleles linked to decreased penis size 🍆🤏are not present 🥳 in Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦.

- It has been observed that Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 are 6x more likely to have skin cancer 🖐🏻♋️ in their lifetime, and some have suggested this is due to higher sun exposure 🌞. Interestingly, Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 are 8️⃣ times more genetically predisposed to skin cancer than other European 🇪🇺populations, suggesting that this increased frequency may be genetic ✅🧬✅ rather than environmental ❌🏞️❌.

It dawns on me that Britain has a long history of obsession with dystopian futures.

There is the ever-cited Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell (1949).

The scarily accurate Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (1932).

I often think of John Brunner's The Shockwave Rider (1975). A dystopian novel which predicts a 21st century drowning in computer data and where children are ideologically indoctrinated by a coercive state.

And who could forget the famous V for Vendetta graphic novels and later film (2005).

There are numerous other examples, but it is clear to me that the British nation has long been fascinated with dystopian novels (much like it is fascinated with fanciful invasion fiction) because we perceive ourselves as safe in our democratic island fortress.

But the dystopia has unequivocally arrived.

Britons, including 12-year-olds and grandmothers, are now being arrested, charged, tried, and jailed in a matter of hours.

The British state is arresting people for digital thought crime and has even promised to lash out at foreigners who threaten its totalitarian rule.

Future English dystopian literature will not be found in the pages of science fiction novels but in our own history books.
