🔶️ On May 17, we already analyzed the harm of overly patriotic statements like "Kharkiv is ours" and explained what is driving the current delay in the advance of the Russian Armed Forces. A week later, the situation has not changed.

⬛️ The main focus in the Slobozhanske direction is directed at Vovchansk. Russian troops are conducting assault operations in high-rise buildings in the area bounded by Korolenka - Soborna - Kolokoltsova - Olesia Dosvitnogo streets. The enemy is transferring more and more forces into this meat grinder, which are being targeted by Russian artillery, tank troops, aviation, and UAV operators.

⬛️ The advance near Lyptsi is complicated by the fact that Lyptsi, Borshchova, Ruski Tyshky, and Cherkaski Tyshky (northern approaches to Kharkiv) are located in a lowland. To the southeast of Lyptsi, there is a height 204.7 - a hill that overlooks the northern border and the suburbs of Kharkiv. A fairly powerful AFU-fortified area has been equipped there. Without its capture, it will not be possible to advance further. So now the Russian troops are trying to dislodge the enemy from the occupied lines.

⬛️ At the moment, Ukrainian units have pulled up over 50 battalions to the Kharkiv area. They are being withdrawn from all directions, leaving the fronts exposed, and strategic reserves are being brought in, which has not been the case before. The reconnaissance-strike activity of the Russian army is amazingly well-organized: we see a significant amount of destroyed AFU forces and assets on a daily basis. But the enemy forces here are really numerous.

⬛️ This allowed the front to be pushed forward in many other areas: Russian troops pushed out the enemy from Klishchiivka and Andriivka, managed to advance to the eastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar, cleared Umanske, occupied the eastern outskirts of Krasnohorivka, returned to Staromaiorske and Urozhaine. All this happened after the start of the offensive in the Slobozhanske direction: the defense lines of the Ukrainian units were breached.

📌 Moreover, we will probably reveal a terrible secret that is uncomfortable to admit in the overly patriotic segment. Russian troops have entrenched themselves on the achieved lines and partially switched to defense: their task is not to destroy people in assault operations but to deprive the enemy of the initiative and destroy the reserves pulled up to Kharkiv.

🔶️ By the end of May, the AFU must launch a counteroffensive north of Kharkiv: this is almost their last chance to try to push the Russian troops out of this area and report a "brilliant victory".

🔶️ The results of repelling the offensive, the amount of forces and assets that will remain with Russian troops after the AFU counteroffensive, will determine how the plans of the Russian Armed Forces for further advancement will be adjusted.

⚡️🇺🇸 US Department of the Army has recently just announced a massive ($13 Million USD) overhaul to the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center in Lima, OH; along with a restart of production for the M1 Abrams ‘from raw product’ at Lima for the first time in nearly 30 years. The facility has famously been used to build equipment such as the Israeli ‘Namer’ Heavy APC, the American Stryker vehicle; the newest American airborne piece of equipment, the M10 Booker and the most famous of them all, the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank.

🛡 🇺🇸 Major improvements coming to Lima’s tank plant

🔶️ The JSMC is scheduled for a significant increase in government investment in the publicly-owned, privately-managed factory, with its budget increasing to $287.1 million in 2028 and $300 million in 2029 for plant upgrades, including more automated and robotic processes. The plant, which refurbishes existing tanks, will produce new hulls from raw products for the first time since the 1990s at its 369-acre campus off Buckeye Road, south of Lima.

🔶️ The plant, which employs 856 people, not only produces the Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 tanks but also the Stryker A1 vehicles, M10 Bookers, NAMER and M-SHORAD transport vehicles, among others. The plant makes vehicles for the United States, as well as ones for countries such as Australia, Israel and Taiwan. It recently completed an order for Ukraine.
