Asclepius: The Perfect Discourse of Hermes Trismegistus. It is a philosophical text attributed to the legendary figure Hermes Trismegistus, who was believed by some in the classical and Renaissance periods to be an ancient Egyptian sage and prophet.

The book is not actually by Hermes Trismegistus, and was likely written in the 2nd or 3rd century AD. It is a religious and philosophical dialogue between Hermes Trismegistus and his disciple Asclepius, and covers a wide range of topics, including:

The nature of God and the universe
The role of humanity in the cosmos
The immortality of the soul
The importance of magic and ritual

The Asclepius was one of the most important Hermetic texts in the Renaissance, and it had a significant influence on the development of Western esoteric thought. It is still read and studied today by those interested in Hermeticism, Neoplatonism, and the history of Western esotericism.
