💰 BNB Chain launches opBNB L2 solution
BNB Chain announced the launch of an EVM-compatible Layer-2 testnet opBNB, which is built on top of Optimism. Its main goal is to increase the speed of transfers and reduce commissions.
According to the developers, transactions in the new solution will cost about $0.005, and the throughput will be about 4,000 TpS.
The launch of the opBNB mainnet is expected in the third quarter of this year.

CertiK received $500,000 from the Sui Foundation for discovering "long before the launch of the network" an "infinite loop" error in the blockchain code.
A malicious smart contract could have caused this error by causing the nodes of the blockchain to move in an endless circle, essentially paralyzing the network.
