One of the principle arguments for the preterist interpretation of Revelation is the use of words like "soon" and "at hand" (ταχος, εγγυς) in the beginning of the book. But this argument is self-refuting, because these words are used to bookend the entire Apocalypse.

You can't pick and choose which terms you want to emphasize in order to prop up the bizarre preterist interpretation.

Debunking the claims of both the "24 hour sun" and the "moon is a reflection of the sun's light":

Scripture shows that on the current earth we live in that God created, there is no such thing as a "24 hour sun" and that the sun and moon are independent, seperate, lights:

1) If a 24 hr sun existed, then why does God mention the seperate time of the day for the sun to light up and the seperate time of the night for the sun to light up?

2) If the moon reflects the sun's light and is not a seperate, independent light, then why are the sun & the moon called two completely different names by God himself AND why is the sun called the greater light and the moon called the lesser light, and why does God command the sun to light up the daytime and the moon to light up the nighttime?

According to Scripture / to what God said and commanded, the moon and the sun are 100% seperate lights AND both nighttime and daytime exist at seperate times of our 24 hour day as the sun and moon move above the earth in the firmament AND the sun is the greater light to rule the day and the moon is the lesser light to rule the night.
