On the third and final day of the Better Way Conference, WCH presenter Jemma Cooper interviewed Robin Monotti, filmmaker and producer of The Book of Vision. He explained the art of storytelling and how it can be used as an indirect route toward more effective communication when "preaching to the unconverted."

Mattias Desmet: "In the final analysis, as I presented it in my book, I believe that totalitarianism is the ultimate consequence of the materialist view of the world. The materialist, rationalist view of the world which believes that everything in this universe—including our soul, our mind and everything at the level of consciousness—can be reduced to a material basis and that the universe, in the end, is a set of elementary particles which all interact according to the laws of mechanics and—that is crucial, I think, that is the most important aspect of the materialist view of the world—that the universe is a kind of a machine which can be completely understood in rational terms. So, a machine which can be completely understood, controlled and manipulated by the human rational mind.

I believe that is the essence of the view that is dominant now. It was this view of the world, I think, that on the one hand created a new elite which believed that the only way to lead the population was by manipulating it, by leading it astray. Since, let's say, the French Revolution, we have seen the emergence of more and more institutes of propaganda and indoctrination. And at the same time, the population has gotten in a state where it is lonely, isolated, which means the perfect state for propaganda. And, I think, in the final analysis, indeed, it's this rationalist, this materialist view of the world which is the real problem you are facing."

"In the end, science shows us that the universe is not a machine but in a strange way we'd rather follow this pseudo-science which continues to claim that everything is mechanical in nature and that the human being should merge with technology and that this will bring it to a kind of new paradise. I want to quote Hannah Arendt in this respect who said: 'There is only one problem with this totalitarian paradise and it is that it looks suspiciously like hell in the end.'"

FDA Held Hearings 30 Years Ago on Emergence of Violence & Suicide with Prozac and Did Nothing About It

Kim Witczak: "I learned the hard truth of how the highly conflicted drug approval process works in the US after the sudden death of my husband in an antidepressant induced suicide in 2003. He was prescribed Zoloft, the ‘safe and effective’ FDA approved SSRI off-label for insomnia.

Five weeks later, he took his own life.

No history of depression or any other mental illness. At the time, I had no idea that the FDA actually held hearings a decade earlier on the emergence of violence and suicide with Prozac and did nothing. My husband's death catapulted me into a world of drug safety. As my late husband always used to say, 'just follow the money.'

Over the past 20 years, I've had to connect the dots between Pharma and the regulatory, legislative, and the legal systems. Since then, I have frequently testified at numerous FDA advisory committees including the safety of the Covid-19 vaccines. In 2016, I was formally appointed to the, as Consumer Representative on the FDA."

Dr Pierre Kory: We Must Create Parallel Systems and Build Institutions That Don't Take Big Pharma Money

"I would say the first 50 years of my life, I had an implicit faith and trust in those institutions. I knew Big Pharma was bad. I just didn't know how bad they were. I knew they were out there doing stuff, but what I've learned here is that we really are in a state of complete and total corrupt regulatory capture across the board from the journals to the agencies, to the leaders of those agencies and the insurance companies, you name it."

His proposals to get away from a system that has been corrupted and captured include:

✅ Decentralisation (less federal government involvement, states need to fight back)

✅ Legislation to protect patient, doctor and pharmacist autonomy as well as free speech

✅ Professional societies free from Big Pharma money

✅ Research into drugs not being funded by those profiting from them

✅ Restructuring of Federal Health Agencies with committees completely free of conflicts of interest

I must admit, I'll share with you, despite being an MP since 2010, I'm feeling a little bit anxious this morning. It's not because you've had some inspirational speakers and some very erudite speakers. And you have some more to come. That is not the reason. I am speaking on a topic of freedom and democracy, something I believe passionately in. So that is not the problem.

The Corruption Was Going on Long Before Covid-19, You Just Didn't See It

Darren Deojee: "It's an interesting thing because some people kind of go through a phase where they have this notion that the corruption was recent because they became aware of it recently. But I think many of you have realized that the corruption was going on for as long as you've been practicing, for as long as you've been serving, you just didn't see it."

"We get caught up in our little fire, the fire that's so huge to us, that seems like the biggest issue going, that we've got to tell everybody about. And everybody needs to kind of almost give up what they're doing and take part in this huge thing. But as many of you will have realized and discovered, that as you look beyond the immediate fire that you're facing, there are many fires burning."

"So I just want to speak a little bit there, just to notice how it can be so easy to get caught up in what we are against rather than what we are for. And to forget, as we are so busy being against we forget to plant the seeds of what we are for. And we think, I'll deal with that after I've dealt with this. And I'll tell you now, history is littered with the bodies and lives of people who have thrown themselves at this creature thinking they were close to the finish line. And I think we are closer than we've ever been."

Robin Monotti on Writing Lyrics for Eric Clapton, Creating The Book of Vision Movie

"Early on we started a collaboration to do with information, to do with news, to do with analysis with Dr. Mike Yeadon and Cory Morningstar, and we started a Telegram channel."

"Then as a spin off from the channel, Eric Clapton reached out and asked me to help with the lyrics of two songs. One is called Heart of a Child and another one is called Pompous Fool.

But today I want to talk to you about something else I did, which is a film which I received a script of in 2017. And the script was about a journey into the history of the doctor-patient relationship approach from the point of view of the philosophy of medicine in the form of a historical fantasy drama. And it came with a note by the American director Terrence Malick, thanking the reader of the note in advance for the contribution to cinema. I didn't know what was going to happen then.

I wasn't quite sure why I had this sense that I needed to produce this film from that point of view back then. It's probably a crazy idea, maybe still a crazy idea today, to get involved in medicine, doctors—people don't go to the cinema for that."

Dr Paul Marik Reveals the Mind-Boggling Distribution of Global Pharmaceutical Revenue

"You can see that the US makes up 4% of the world population, yet they consume 55%."

"And when you look at opiates, again, 4% of the world population, 80% of prescription opiates are written in the United States. So Big Pharma's only market, their only market. They're not interested in you and the UK or anywhere else. They're only interested in the US. For two really important reasons. One, there's no price control. They can charge whatever they damn well want. Whatever they want to sell you at whatever the price. And secondly, we have direct consumer to advertise, direct to consumer advertising. Only two countries in the entire world allow such an illegal immoral process to happen. That's the US. And for some reason, New Zealand. And so, as you can see, the problem is getting worse and worse."

"And then there are the journals. So what you may not know is 29 of the authors in the Pfizer study, 18 of them were actually employees of Pfizer and held stock in the company. Talk about a conflict of interest. They have Pfizer employees and ghost writers, writing this paper in the New England Journal of Medicine. And then there is this rotating door where you go to you work for Pharma, then you work for the FDA, and then you work for the FDA, you work in Pharma. It's a process that is illegal, immoral, and should be completely made illegal."

Dr Simon Goddek Lectures Better Way Conference on How to Grow the Perfect Mango

"Hey, I'm Simon Goddek. I identify as a scientist. I was a scientist, not anymore. And people have been asking me all the time during the weekend, what are you going to talk about? And I didn't have a topic yet because I wanted to listen to the others. So I was always making jokes. I was like, I'm going to tell you how to grow the perfect mango. And now I'm here. I don't want to let you guys down.

So I looked up how to grow the perfect mango. I'm going to talk about that. I'm not even kidding. So as you can see. The perfect mango requires minimum sunshine of 6 hours, direct sunlight per day. I have one in my Brazilian jungle. It gets less, so, it doesn't grow any mangoes. And we cut some trees, and it got the sun. Now I'll have mango. It needs a temperature between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius. Consistent water, super important, soil PH, slightly acidic to neutral PH levels. You know this from the skin cream, right? These numbers. And, yeah, it needs a balanced diet and nutrients. And yeah, pruning is good.

And just imagine you did all the research like I did. How can I grow the perfect mango? Imagine you did this. You were on the internet for several weeks, you read original papers and then, your government comes... And they tell you—no. That's not how to grow the perfect mango. And actually, you followed that advice, and you get this mango. You can compare it before. You know, this is perfect. And then the government says, no. This one is perfect. So, they just tell you no. Overwatering or poor drainage. No. The science has changed since 2020. You can say that. Inadequate sunlight. You should listen to the experts. These people know how to grow the perfect mango. You don't. And you can just simply ignore the soil PH and the nutrient balance because you're the bloody conspiracy theorist.

And this was my situation, as a scientist."

Every Challenge, Every Adversity, Every Skill That You Have, Every Experience Has Shaped You for THIS Moment

Dan Astin-Gregory: "In preparing for tonight's session, I thought to myself, I wonder with all the sessions, all the speakers, with all of the wonderful words from across the world, what has been left unsaid and what is left for us to do? And to answer that question, during my time here today, I've been asking lots of questions of those of you are here today, and there is an overarching conclusion, and that is that it's time to act.

It is time to take these ideas, these concepts, these visions, and these dreams, and to make those dreams a reality. So in the short time I have available with you tonight, my goal is to look at how we can strip away the limitations that stand in our way to make that process easier for us. And Derrick, who's someone I've got to know over the course of the weekend, said something similar. But how many people in this room felt that your life path to this date has led you to this moment to build the future? Let me see by show of hands. Every challenge, every adversity, every skill that you have, every experience has shaped you for this moment. The challenges I had in my childhood, as I shared last year, not ever feeling like I had a voice, not having the courage to stand, well life eventually forced me to find my voice and my inner power.

So my next question to you is, how many people in this room are ready to find their power and to step off the sidelines and make this thing happen? By show of hands. It's time to thrive. It's time for us to thrive, and to move from scarcity to abundance."
