CHARGING ORDER 💫
SET ASIDE
You should file an N244 with the Court to have the judgment set aside. It's easier to get the set aside if the Claimant does not object and should only cost less, £100.
If the debt is with a debt buying company like Lowell, Cabot, Marlin, Debt Managers, Arrow Global, Hoist, Intrum, Arvato, Lantern, Link, PRA Group, it should be disputed.
The Judge will look at 3 points:
1-Why you didn't respond to the Claim Form - don't put you ignored it, perhaps it was "lost in the post"
2. If you have a good prospect of defending the Claim - always dispute the original debt not just the assignment!
3. If you acted quickly when you found out about the Claim - the longer you leave it, the more you have to explain!
File an N244 to have the judgment set aside.
This is normally straight forward when you didn't receive the claim form.
Don't put down that you "ignored" the Court documents, perhaps they were "lost in the post".
A standard N244 costs £255 but this is reduced to £100 if you get the consent of the Claimant as there is no need for a court hearing. You can get help with costs by filing an EX160.

It's an idea to check through the paperwork as often Barclays Bank will transfer things between different Corporations,
DONT ASSUME that just because it says 'Barclays' that it relates to the same company. The sale agreement is specific to BARCLAYS BANK (UK) PLC and Not one of a slightly different name.
There are MORE THAN ONE company listed on Companies House with the name BARCLAYS, like this one:

It seems to come down to this page. You have a DIGITAL signature by Barclays and another by PRA-Group. When it comes to a Deed of Assignment (required under the Law of Property Act 1925) there are certain requirements for someone signing on behalf of a Corporation and these are set out in the Companies Act 2006.
LEGISLATION
which specifies that there MUST be two signatures signing on behalf of a company. They NEED a DIRECTOR and someone else signing on behalf of the Corporation or the signature is INVALID, because one person cannot sign on behalf of a Corporation.
Companies skip this step because they sign a lot of the agreements under the rules of EQUITY and don't expect the matters to come before a COURT OF LAW where a LEGAL assignment is required. In normal day to day activities the Director assumes that his signature alone can commit the company to an agreement when this is simply not the case for a LEGAL assignment.
